I've done some googling about the eye of ra, it basically comes down to a symbol 4 protection, so I would see it as a reminder 2 always have faith in a good outcome and thus have positive thoughts, and thus attracting only positive things into your experience.

If it makes you feel good to pray, go ahead...PRAY AWAY TILL YOU ARE BLUE IN THE FACE. I just want to be clear that depending on the prayer, it can make you a victim. i.e. praying to a Saint and expecting an answer from someone outside yourself.
