We went to Olivia Newton John's gorgeous Retreat and Spa called GAIA in Byron Bay.
Here is what GAIA actually means
Greek - Earth) The goddess of the earth. It also refers to a scientific hypothesis formulated by James Lovelock whereby all living matter on the earth is believed to be a single living organism. In such a scheme, humanity is considered the nervous system of the living earth.
Gaia encompasses all this perfectly.There is an amazing sense of peace and calm surrounding the whole retreat. Birds chirp and breezes blow and everywhere there are chairs under trees and small Buddha statues. The food is delicious and the rooms lovely. Have a look!!!

Comment by Aleta on September 26, 2008 at 12:42am - I haven't been on CCOR nearly so much lately so I nearly missed this, it is lovely and the weather is so balmy....I did just go check out Olivias web site which is well worth the joy of the visit........love the architecture, how it flows in and out of the land....beautiful, is the word, as you and everybody else have felt!
