I felt the same way when I first moved to Texas, that the people were just uber-friendly! I did have a lot of resistance, though, for the first...oh....7 years, lol. I think I finally have come around though and I really do love it here (in Austin). I wish I could have come to appreciate it sooner, but it took me a long time to let go of home. Silly, really! Now, I just realize that I can go where I want nearly whenever I want and that frees me up to do some good old fashioned appreciating of what's right in front of me. May your appreciation be oh so much quicker than mine! :)
The show was fun. I shot some video of my brother's LIVE art exhibit where he covers himself in paint. LOL! It's at my YouTube account.
Hope you are settling in nicely and that things are going well for you.
Welcome to Texas. :-)
Hi Cheryl! Thank you for inviting me to be your friend, I haven't been very active blogging neither participating too much in my own manifestations either, but I feel that i am back on trck. keep in touch! love and light, Myriam
Wow I stumbled onto you for a reason Im sure. I came to Dallas, TX 3 years ago with my husband and young daughter and it has been the best experiance for us. We moved from Florida and we love Texas. The people here are really nice and it is a good place to raise a family (we live just north of Dallas now). I wish you the best and hope Texas treats you as well as it has us.
Just wanted to update you on something happening in the Dallas area tonight. I'm planning on being there. I think my brother will be doing LIVE art at the opening so it's gonna be stellar should that happen. Pulitzer prize winner photojournalist that has become a filmmaker. Amazing live art display. I'm stoked about seeing it with an audience.

WoW! You're going for the PHD! I'm impressed. All the best to you on that. And thank you for the kind comment. I'm happy to fill you in on things to do in that area. I live about three hours away from the D/FW area but I have family and friends there so I'm in the area multiple times a year. Stay in touch.
Welcome to Big D. You'll love Dallas - of course, any big move is stressful and takes a while to get used to the new place. I really hope you like it here. You'll probably only need your coats and warm clothes for the next 5 weeks or so - then you won't need them again until November or December - Spring is beautiful here and summer, well, can be very hot.
Give me a shout when you get settled in - and again, WELCOME!
Cheryl,
Thanks for the comment back. Yes, Utah which is nearer to Salt Lake is beautiful, especially with the snow around right now. San George is different of course, but I like it down there too. Texas is a nice state. I like it there and almost moved to San Antonio last year but came here instead. You are going to love it down there, plus you won't have to worry about the COOOOLLLLDDDD anymore :))
Have a safe drive!! Can't wait to hear about your trip and all.
Take care!
I agree, Cheryl. We should keep in touch. Have a safe trip and let us know when you are settled in. I should be going to an art event in Dallas in about a week if everything lines up here in Abilene, to allow that. I have many artistic friends in Dallas. So, let's share info when you arrive. More Later!!
Good Luck on the Move !! Happy to see your willing to take a risk and be in total control of your life !! Proud of you ur an inspiration to us all !! Lots of Love Your Way !!
Peace, Tricia

Hey Woman ~ What's your for-real name? (Feels wierd calling you surreal. LOL.) Where do you go to class and what are you studying? Are you doing a formal "100 day challenge"? Seriously? The photo looks so much more than perky...she looks distinctly caffeinated!!! Hehe. Lori
I am always spewing out ideas to deaf ears, si I'm glad that you were able to benefit. I'm sure we'll be talking soon about the challenge, methods, and technics.
By the way, I had just started, for practice reasons only, journaling in a note book, and I found it to be extremely painless. Right before I fell asleep to Sandy's mp3 download, I was asking my 99 yrs old self a question, and I fell asleep on, uh... myself, so you gotta watch out for that one. I like walk and chanting as well or walking and repeating an affirmation. I do it mostly when I'm alone though. Early mornings, in the park, or at night after 8pm in my neighborhood when the moon is bright. Ask, believe, Receive
