Telling yourself the Truth!

I saw a very interesting blog by trancendenta l e e: 'What will it take for more of me to show up".

It reminded me of another question to ask yourself that I've recently discovered (tho it starts as more of a statement). You ask it about any area of your life. This 'question' or statement (from a book by Kendall Summerhawk) begins..

"The truth is....."

You fill in the blank on any topic that concerns you in your life.

This is between you and you.

Those three words help you to be totally honest with yourself and clarify so much!
(If you can't be honest with yourself, no point bothering with this exercise!)

THE TRUTH IS.....

As you finish that sentence, you don't have to say what you think people expect you to say, or even, what you expect. You get to tell the truth to yourself. If you have a video camera try doing it in front of that. I did, and it was quite emotional - but very helpful.

I have found this so useful - things I thought I wanted to do, or should want to do, I really didn't. Plus I could see things I could be doing but wasn't... which reminds me of Dee's questions about 'showing up'. So thanks to Dee for her thought provoking blog!
