Something Nice today
Day 83/2 I didn't have a good nite, so this morning I got up and went down to the local florists. Its a new shop on the main street here in this tiny little no where town. BUT yay they had some flowers. I got myself some big stargazer lillies! 6 of them. Thats all I needed to remind myself that soon all that will be surrounding is beauty. They look great smell good and my cat is very interested in but not messing with them. He keeps smelling them :) I just got up and remembered a poem my mother loved called Comes the Dawn. I can't remember the whole thing but I do remember the ending... "don't wait for someone else to bring you flowers plant your own garden." In my case I just went out and got my own flowers. Its amazing what they do to cheer up a space and a life. I love the way the whole ambiance changed :)

What a lovely habit, to buy flowers and 'surround yourself with beauty'~ I often do that, but haven't bought a bouquet yet this Winter (not for myself, anyway!). I think you're right, it's a great thing to do, a great gift to give yourself, and I will do it again.
It's just that I'm seeing so much beauty in everyday life, I haven't felt the need to buy a bouquet, like I would usually feel...yet these small touches add immensely to the quality of life.
Hope all becomes much better, shining bright for you soon!
