The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Hey everyone!!
So finally I'm done with my season 2. This season my primary goal was to crack the NIFT(National Institute of Fashion Technology) entrance exam. I took the exam on Feb 8 and it went pretty well. However this is one goal which I can't say I have manifested or not for my result will be out by the end of March. Also those who get shortlisted in March will appear for Round 2 in April , the result of which will be out by the end of May. Long wait ...huh ...lol!!
But my gut says I'll make it and I'm definitely keeping a positive mind, otherwise I'll go mad just worrying about it. Moreover I've done whatever I could , now I place it in the hands of God/Universe. But I'll surely keep visualising to ensure a happy outcome!!

During season 2 I couldn't interact much with all my friends and I apologise for that. But I definitely realised some important things . I became aware of a deep desire to know myself better and during season 2 (perhaps to curb the exam stress) I meditated regularly more or less . Initially it was difficult to stay put even for ten minutes but now I can manage thirty minutes. Infact I believe this need led me towards the higherbalance institute website by Eric Pepin. After reading his book The Navigator(it's available for free on the website in case any of you is interested in reading it) I realised why I feel this way. Why I feel such a pull to create a meaningful life not just for myself but for others as well.

I realised (something that I wasn't so sure of earlier) that bringing a smile on other's faces gave me an ineffable joy, it made me feel sooooo happy that what I want to do with my life started becoming all the more clearer. For instance , I was listening to the audio book Thank you power by Deborah Norville and I decided to follow through on her idea of writing gratitude letters. I knew that it would work but when I actually gave one to my friend whom I've known for around five months now , I was on cloud nine. She was totally surprised and soooo happy ,hugged me and kept thanking me!! It was a beautiful feeling.

That incident has reinstated my desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Whenever someone asked me 'why did you choose to go for fashion designing?' I said "well I have always liked artistic work , but honestly speaking I really don't know !!" I think now I know. I know why I feel suffocated in a corporate environment and I know why I am being led towards fashion designing.
For I know that giving someone's personality a boost through apt and beautiful clothing goes a long way in increasing that person's self esteem. I've seen how makeovers affect people. How they start viewing themselves in different light, how the behaviour of others towards them undergoes a dramatic change. Designing clothes is not just creating something pretty for me but also embellishing someone's personality. I'm going to make it really easy for people to understand what suits them and what not. I realised that we are all smiles when we look pretty and others compliment us on that. Thus I think I've found my way of spreading smiles. :)
Nowdays I keep planning as to how I'll make a lasting impact in the lives of others through my profession.

Phew!! I guess I got carried away...lol!

In the end I just want to thank my dear friends and all the cocreators ,for you guys are a true inspiration. Dayana, Missy ,Sabina,,Magsy,Carrie, Cindy ,Tabitha and Asfand, thank you for your love, support and belief in me. Incase I've missed any name please forgive me!!! I hope to find many more beautiful people like you guys in my season 3 :)

P.S. I've found an amazing website, goodreads.com where you can keep a track of all the books you've read. Oh this is something else I manifested in season 2.I've wanted to have something like this for a long time!!!!
Thought you all might find it useful as well.

Hey girl! It's good to hear from you! I'm so glad that things seem to be going well for you :) I think of you often and send you love when I do. You're absolutely right about good clothes going a long way in boosting the average person's self esteem. Don't we all feel good in a new, pretty outfit?

Keep in touch, my friend, and take care.

Oh you did!! That's wonderful!! See I knew the only way I'd get to meet fellow navigators is through mentioning the book because it really touched me! Hey it's completely your fault that I forgot to mention your name. Why?? Because I've sent you a friend request long time back and you forget to accept it or perhaps don't check your friend requests. SO I forgot to mention your name....sorry!!

Btw I wanted to tell you Asfand that I"ve tried thrice to leave a comment for you but the page gets stuck. And since you're not in my friends list I can't even send you a message. SO when you see this message for you, Don't forget to add me!!!!
P.S. I've added your name:)
