Hidden Blessings of Music...

Last night I hosted our annual Toastmasters' Christmas party at my house.

It is always wonderful to open up my home to my club, and there was a hidden blessing in last night's gathering. One of our members asked if he should bring his Dolcimer to play. I had no idea what a dolcimer was, but I said, "Sure, bring it!" I thought I was doing him a favor, knowing that performers love an audience. Imagine my surprise as he started playing this beautiful instrument! I have included a video of someone playing a docimer so you can hear what it sounds like...


My house was full of this beautiful music. I am still feeling the beauty of the music in my house today. It is quiet. The kids are in school. I am working (sort of) and this wonderful residual vibe from the party fills my house. The music, the guests, and the laughter, not to mention the 5 or so little children who were fluttering around in princess dresses left a wonderful impression of love here. I am blessed by my club, my friends, and my family.

Enjoy the music! Check out a local toastmasters club sometime. They might not be partying, however you will definately be surrounded by people who are forward thinkers.
