I was working all day on day 4 and 5 so it was easy to be positive and focus my thoughts on good things. Today I had a day off work and sort of went back to my old ways of thinking as I was at home and the house was in a mess. I have been feeling anxious about my goals and what I want my life to be like which is not being in the flow or allowing these things to come into my life. After I read a few pages of one of the books I have been reading I feel so much better and realise what to do now. I read a few books at the same time but read a few pages from one book depending what mood I am in (not sure if that makes sense). Anyway I read some of "You Can Have What You Want" by Michael Neill which I have had for a couple of years but only started enjoying reading it lately. The chapters I have read are about what you really want even if you think it would be impossible and creating goals that make you think WOW. I have been enjoying writing goals that make me think Wow as I have always been a dreamer but lately setting more realistic goals.
One bit in the book that really helped me today was this:
"Imagine what you want is like a beautiful butterfly in your hands. If you squeeze too tightly, the butterfly will be crushed; if you hold your hands too loosely, the butterfly will simply fly away. The secret is to hold it gently. The same is true in almost any area of our lives"
It then explains this in a few areas of your life and I realised that I am focusing too intensely on money and obsessing on a few other areas of my life. So now I know I am doing this I can change and work on letting go. The chapter I am reading is called "The Secret of Letting Go For It" which has a few good exercises to do to help let go. I have only started the chapter so I'm looking forward to reading the rest.
I wrote a long list on my "To Do List" today but decided to not worry about it and enjoy the afternoon so I went to the park with my partner and kids. We had a little adventure and enjoyed the beautiful nature that surrounds us. I will take some photos next time and share it:)
These are the five things I am grateful for these past few days:
1. My children's happiness about life and the quality time I spent with them today.
2. My supportive partner and how we are getting on so well lately
3. The opportunity to work and earn a good wage (I deserve it)
4. Getting on well with my Mum lately and being able to discuss the Law of Attraction with her (I am lucky)
5. The abundance of books to help me better myself and that I want to. I am grateful for being me:)
