I have started reading A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Tolle. This book has allowed me to completely understand the concept of belief, religion, and spirituality.
To recognize one's own insanity is the rising of sanity, the beginning of healing and transcedence. They spoke of sin, of suffering, of delusion. The said, "Look how you live. See what you are doing, the suffering you create." They then pointed to the possiblity of awakening from the collective nightmare of "normal" human existence.
~Having a belief system-a set of thoughts that you regard as the absolute Truth- does not make you "spiritual" no matter what the nature of those beliefs is. The more you make your thoughts (beliefs) into your identity, the more cut off you are from the spiritual dimension within yourself. You equate truth with thought, and as they are completely identified with thought (you mind), you claim to be in sole possession of the Truth in an unconscious attempt to protect their identify...
You realize that how "spiritual" you are has nothing to do with what you believe but everything to do with your state of consciousness. This determines how you act in the world and interact with others.~
With meditating I have notice how my thoughts are not who I really am. I noticed what I thought was true or my beliefs were only shatter by lies and people hiding behind their true self. I have learned how to deal with these people when they question my beliefs. Today people are so caught up in finding the truth that they forget that our conscious mind is where the truth lies. Meditating has helped me heal, but it also has helped me to be more connected with God and myself. I am still learning about myself, my likes dislikes, and beliefs. My thoughts are not my beliefs, my conscious mind is and what I see through a conscious mind is love. This open heart challenge has been difficult. And my emotions have been all over the place, but I have learn to love all of God's creation.
Love.
Love is the hard thing to explain. To be fully conscious and "feel" love is amazing. To be able to hold that moment in for a few moments is a great experience. All you want to do is do what you love. lol. If that makes sense. Be around those you love and even sending love vibes to those around you. I have done this plenty of times and it has made bad situations and experiences fade away. By feeling the emotion of love in numerous of moments, but you can't try to hold on to that specific moment. You have to let it go and experience the next moment. Holding on to a specific moment will not allow you to be in the present moment or to be fully conscious of all beings including yourself. I took the same principles with my desires or manifesting a materialist item. By letting go, but sending my intentions out. I intend to... I set out every day to be consistent in my intentions. I succeed in accomplishing my intentions which were my goals has helped me feel love.
I am still working on my Sacral Chakra and a funny situation came up. This book I am reading has asked me question about myself. ummm. Control is a part of this chakra and I am working on letting go. Detachment. I am very stump by this questions. VERY. I believe its going to take me some time to find this answer. Through prayer and meditation. For me to forgive and move on. To not allow myself to hold on to this negativity. To be at peace. To love!
