"Life is eternal, and love is immortal and death is only a horizon and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight."-Rossiter Worthington Raymond 1840-1918 This quote is comforting and speaks to me as I journey with my father in the final stages of his cancer. I am reading, talking with friends and family, exercising and eating right and taking thinkgs off my plate as I prepare for his death. This allows me to be supportive of him, my mother and my children. I do not know if he has 4 weeks or 4 months but after two years of this battle I do believe he is coming to the end of this physical life. I just finished an excellent book, "Final Gifts", that explains the transition from this world to the next. It has given me practical ways to help my dad make this transition, even though he has no belief in eternal life. I do not know what the next months hold for me emotionally, but I know I my dad will be safe, as well as myself.
