The 100 Day Reality Challenge

So, I've been meditating more lately to clear my mind of obsessive thoughts about my back pain. It wasn't easy, but meditation is usually the road to clarity for me. However, it can be difficult to meditate when you don't feel well. So, I took a couple of the affirmations from the Health Affirmations page on my site.

I wrote "My body heals quickly and easily" over and over. I was amazed at the relief that I felt within seconds of doing this. The pain did not go away permanently, but the object was to get relief. And I did! This renewed my confidence in my mind's power and my body's ability to heal.

No matter how well I understand the Universal laws, I continue to feel amazed at each tiny bit of evidence. And amazement is a powerful emotion that can only help to attract more wonderful "stuff." Wow, I'm truly feeling good right now.

So, here's my plan for today. I'm going to use a brightly colored marker to write "My body heals quickly and easily" on sheets of paper. I'll tape or tack this written affirmation all over the walls in my apartment. This will be my constant reminder since I can't spend the entire day writing the affirmation. When the back pain creeps in, I plan to take a few moments to focus on the healing effects of this affirmation.

i also take a few slow, deep breaths and quieten my mind then ask what's behind the pain? is it grief, stress, fear of something? louise hay says this...

The back represents support. When we feel overwhelmed by life, we often have back problems. The upper back usually represents a lack of emotional support; the middle back is guilt—carrying all that stuff from the past. The lower back is usually fear of money—that is, feeling a lack of financial support. A beginning point for you could be to use affirmations like these daily: I trust life to support me. My every need is taken care of. All my bills are paid. I am safe.
