The 100 Day Reality Challenge

What a crazy kind of week. I thought it best to categorically go through it in hopes that I would even remember the chaos.

Monday:

What a day. I honestly felt like I was going to lose my mind and it was then that I realized that I was picking up on everyone else’s junk and it wasn’t mine. For the love of an empath! I continued to have this feeling that chaos was going to happen and couldn’t touch into what, but knew that there were going to be a lot of newsmakers coming up. I also had 6 readings that day, twice as much as I normally take on, 5 one question readings and two crystal message readings. I was cranky and ended up going to bed early. A good thing and something that I needed for sure!

Tuesday:

I have set aside Tuesdays for FAMILY FUN DAY. Since I work on Saturdays, I had to choose another day and Tuesday it was. So this Tuesday we decided to visit the Toledo Zoo and spend the day with the animals. I have to admit that zoos make me sad, but we haven’t been to one in a few years and I love Toledo because you don’t have to walk a mile to see an animal that is sleeping in a cave two miles away (Detroit Zoo). So we made our way to Toledo. Overall, the trip was uneventful and we got to our destination 30 minutes after they opened and found a pretty good parking spot. It was already in the mid 80s and sweltering, but we slathered on the sunscreen and started walking. The zoo had changed since we were last there. You used to have to park, cross over the road and go to the zoo, but they now have animals on the side by the parking lot and the ticket sales right there, along with a train ride to see the animals up close. We loved it! As we were done with that part, we crossed over the bridge to check out the rest of the zoo. Making our way up the ramp and across the street, my 12 year old son was only paying attention to us going up and wanted to know why they would keep the elephants on the second floor. I laughed for over 30 minutes. I think the other zoo goers thought I was nuts, but I kept laughing. And the response that Chuck gave was that the elephants were on the second floor and the poor giraffes were in the basement and there necks were hurting. I started all over again.

Micaela loves the wolves!

So after Connor became the butt of the joke, we had a blast visiting butterflies, reptiles, lions and bears…oh my! We had a lovely experience with the Gorillas.

Inside the Gorilla house was this older Gorilla who was sitting by the glass. He looked so sad and I started to talk to him. I honestly was amazed at his features, including his finger nails. He looked soooo human. I asked if I could take a picture and he nodded, so I took the one above. And we left. Outside were more Gorillas and two of them were getting it on, if you know what I mean. After all was said and done, the male walked away and the female looked at him as if to ask for cuddle time. He didn’t give her the time of day. Typical. So, something drew me to go back and visit the Gorilla inside. There was an annoying family that was banging on the glass and hitting the gorilla with a toy through the glass, etc. Then the kid dumped her water. The Gorilla was disgusted. He actually shook his head as if to say ‘idiot’. The mom tried to make it up and told him it was only water and he must be having a bad day. Honestly, the family were idiots. They walked away, after taking a bunch of pictures of the kids standing up and pretending to be hugging him, or having a toy on his head, etc (mind you, he is behind glass). I went up to him and apologized and he offered me a kiss. I was a tad bit surprised and asked him again if he could kiss me. He puckered up and threw me a kiss. I felt so special. Yes, I am weird, but I honestly do believe that animals have souls and they aren’t just shells.

One of my favorite spots was the gardens.

We spent a lot of time admiring the rose gardens and took many pictures of those to get ideas of what we wanted with our next home.

Done smelling like a zoo, we went home and showered. Good times!!

Wednesday:

Wednesday started off with me being TICKED OFF. The air conditioner stopped working Tuesday night, a couple of my appointments were no-shows with being confirmed the night before and I was in a horrible, terrible, no good mood. We were supposed to have dinner at my sister’s house, but the heating and cooling guy was supposed to be there at noon, showed up instead at 6 p.m. and so everything got messed up. In the end, a wire came lose and the air was fixed, we began to cool down and I started working on a book that I am writing. I went to bed around midnight, but slept MUCH better than I had the previous night. Again, sleep does wonders!

Thursday:

A client and friend is getting married in October and I am the Matron of Honor, so we headed out to one of my favorite stores, Dixboro General Store, to see if I could find a unique bridal shower gift for her. Chuck and I had a good time exploring the nooks and crannies of the Barn Sale and found some fun finds. Then we headed home to do the laundry and such and I had appointments in the evening. I could feel the storm coming on and when I started on my way to work, I could see the sky and it looks plain frightening. Some power outages, hail, straight line winds and then a rainbow marked the next few hours. I got home, opened my door and a squirrel jumped in the car. I screamed, he screamed and ran out. I laugh now, but it caught me by complete surprise. We do feed the squirrels and we pretty much know many of them by their size, along with their schedule (one comes from two blocks away for an afternoon cookie, every single afternoon!). A friend was coming over and after she left, my dad, Chuck and I went out to catch a bite (kids were at their dad’s house). Right before we got in the car, we felt wings overtop of us, Chuck swore, and then we saw it. A crane.

I have seen cranes, and no we didn’t bring it back with us from the zoo, but I live in a city without water around and these birds typically nest in marshy areas. I am wondering if perhaps the storm moved him the wrong way. He had nesting in his mouth and decided to try and make a nest in our backyard. Sure, with 5 dogs and an array of other animals, what is another one! He kept staring at us and moving up and down across the roof, but didn’t fly away. After admiring him (or her) for awhile and shooting some photos, we went to dinner. When we got back, he wasn’t on the roof, but I didn’t go looking for him either.

I shared the crane and squirrel story and had several people share sites with me on the meaning behind those two animals coming into my life. Thank you all for that! The squirrel, in essence, represented chilling out and stop scampering around (duly noted) and the crane represented staying focused and pursuing creative endeavors. Love both meanings and they were both spot on!

And so the day was also a sad one with the passing of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. You kept waiting for them to say it was a hoax for publicity. Unfortunately, it wasn’t and Farrah, who I do admire for her independence and the way that she held her head high in order to accomplish what she wanted, beating to her own drum. And Michael for pioneering music videos, concerts and dance.

And so today is yet another day and one that will be chaotic – with five readings and a sold out event tonight – I am ready and willing, but can’t wait till I can take a vacation!

Angel Cards:

Guardian Angel
Card Meaning: Your guardian angels want you to know how much they love you right now. Your angels' love is completely unconditional and all-encompassing.

You are not alone. You drew this card as a love letter from your guardian angels, who want you to know, "We're right here. We have never left you and can never leave you."

Your guardian angels say that you deserve their help and attention. There is nothing that you could have ever thought, said, or done that could ostracize you from your Divine helpers. They never judge or abandon you for the mistakes you make. The angels are simply here to support you so that you can spiritually grow and help others.

Aurora
"You are flying high right now, which may threaten others. But don't descend, because others will soon become inspired by your example."

Additional Message: "Your intentions have created an upward trend in your life. New opportunities are coming your way, and your inner and outer self radiates this positive growth. You may worry that others will be jealous of your current and forthcoming success, so you will be sensitive about discussing your achievements. You may also worry about the future, about where your new path is taking you. You may wish for a guarantee of future success."

"I am here to help you enjoy the present, and the process of your new venture. Trust that each moment is taking care of itself. God has always taken care of you, and He always will. Ask me to help you stay focused on the now, and to let go of the worry habit so that you can enjoy these gifts. Gratitude is essential right now . . . to keep your flight at a high altitude."
