Day Six:

So while asking myself what it is I need to do to make a change, I was also reading a little more into my current book “Why We Want You To Be Rich” and after reading a bit more into it I found the answer I needed. It nearly jumped off the page and slapped me in the face.

The answer provided was Focus. But in a new context where the word Focus becomes an acronym for:
F - Follow
O - One
C - Course
U - Until
S - Successful

So I believe that is exactly what I am going to do. I am going to follow one course until I am successful. I am going to Focus and “focus” on the course being my building my new business. Another thing I read in the book and find useful/inspiring is the following - “Successful People Are Stubborn” which basically boils down to “Don’t give up” which applies to me because no matter how many thing’s I have tried in the past I refuse to give up on becoming a successful business owner. Which leads into a story I read in the book that Donald Trump’s dad told to him repeatedly and I’ll share with you here as best as I remember it:

“A man who enjoyed soda very much created his own soda and called it 3up, it failed. So he tried again and called the new one 4up it failed as well. Going back to the drawing board he tried again and created 5up, but this venture failed as well. Giving it another chance he then came up with 6up, but it too failed which crushed the man so much he finally gave up on his dream. A month later another man came out with a soda called 7up and it became unbelievably successful.”

The lesson in this is never give up. It is this stubborn attitude, the refusal to give up on our dreams that will make us successful.

I love that too 'Follow one course until sucessful' I'll remember that when I'm thinking about doing too many things at once! I never knew about that with 7up. Thats a like the story of the man who was digging for gold he gave up and the person he sold his tools to started digging and it was only 3 foot away.
