Day 23 - My first tangible manifestation!!!

While I was in New Hampshire for a funeral last week, I had some time to myself on Thursday and I did a lot of thinking and journaling. I thought about the Law of Attraction and the 100 Day Challenge and how I hadn't been doing much with it. Then I remembered reading in The Secret, that when you are new to actively using the law of attraction, it can be good to start with something small. They suggest manifesting a free cup of coffee. Well, I don't drink coffee, so I decided to manifest a free plant for myself.

I don't have any plants in my home, but I've wanted to have some for a long time. My cousin, Sharon's home has lots of plants and it really gives her home such a nice feel. So, I told the Universe that I want someone to give me a plant for my home. Of course, I immediately start wondering how this will happen and who will give me a plant. I only have one friend in NC, so I thought maybe Bonnie would surprise me with a plant. I had to stop myself trying to figure out how this would manifest. The Secret tells us that it is not our job to figure out how what we want manifests, it's just our job to figure out what we want, ask for it, and then believe it's on its way.

I went on with my day and the next with this "small" request completely out of my mind. On Friday I was spending time with my mother. We stopped at my grandmother's apartment to check in on her. They wanted me to see that backyard and all the beautiful things they planted over the summer and to show me Jeanne's hill (an area of the yard dedicated to my biological mother who passed away in 2005 - my aunt raised me since I was 2, but that story's entirely too long to get into in this post ;-) ).

My mother proudly showed me all the things she planted and some her friend planted for her. One of the bushes is called Four O'Clock and it has the prettiest bright pink flowers on it. She showed me how to pick off the dried seeds on it and told me to take them home and plant them in the spring. On the way back into the house, she notices the rooting spider plants sitting in one of the bird baths and asks if I want to take some home with me. Then we pass the Vinca that Jeanne had planted herself and she says she'll dig some up for me to take home too.

It wasn't until we came back out with a garden shovel to dig up the Vinca that I realized what had happened. The Universe brought me my free plants! I got so excited and told my mom all about the law of attraction and that the day before I asked the Universe to bring me free plants for my home, and here she is loading me up with several plants.

Not only did the Universe bring me the plants I asked for, but I got an abundance of plants! I came home with four rooted spider plants, a large handful of Four O'clock seeds, Vinca, and several sprigs of Spearmint. I'm going to plant everything this morning. I can't wait to see all these beautiful plants decorating my home!

I am so excited to see that this actually works! Starting small was such a good thing for me to do. Now I'm working on manifesting more money into my life. It looks like it already happened, but I want to make sure first and then I'll write about it here.
