Everything happens for a reason was generally my theme for today because my day required a lot of pivoting on my part. Traffic, tardiness, and the like, but I made a concious effort to look at things that appeared to be an inconvenience in a different light. I really tried to see what the possible benefit that may have been in the situation.
There were many positives of the day. I was productive at work. I enjoyed a great lunch and conversation with two of my coworkers. I listened to some great music on finetune.com. My friend that is moving got some great news. I had a nice conversation with a stranger when I took my little sister to cheerleading practice. Enjoying her practice alone was a blessing today. I had the pleasure of spending some time with my uncle, albeit brief. My ex agreed to make a couple of CDs for me for the bridal shower this weekend and we had a great conversation, albeit brief.
One event today really bothered me initially. Initially, I was really pissed, but at this point, I choose to accept that everything happens for a reason. It's only Day 15 and, if nothing else, my life is getting more interesting. It was growing pretty mundane, lol. Right now, I'm watching Semi Pro and as usual, Will Ferrell is splitting my sides. Life is good and all is well. I can't wait for tomorrow because it can only get better from here.
