The 100 Day Reality Challenge

If anyone can help me interpret this dream I just had, I would greatly appreciate the help. This dream has basically left me stunned:

I'm walking through a mobile home [trailer], it's incredibly late at night. My sister is there, and she's in the kitchen, grabbing things like banana and apple chips to snack on. I ask her for one, and she hands them all to me. Then I switch to a new scene. I'm walking through the mobile home again- it's a little later, and I look outside the window of the kitchen. The sky is bright enough to see the moon neatly outlined, but one side of the moon looks funky to me. So I walk around this object in front of the window to see the moon better, and as I look, I notice flames and the moon turning. Almost as if I'm replaying this through a slow-motion camera, the moon falls down to the earth like a ball hits the ground on the playground... then the moon bounces right off the surface of the earth. I'm standing there completely horrified of the events happening in front of me- my first thought is to light a cigarette because it's the last time I'll be able to smoke one. As I stare out through this window, I see the biggest waves of water come traveling from over the horizon. I want to turn around and not watch them hit me, but I'm too shocked to move... and as they roll closer and closer, they get close enough to hit - and I wake up.

I saw on a number of dream interpretation web sites that the Moon represents a king or mother symbol. And that a falling Moon could mean death or disease for that symbol. Can anybody give me a good interpretation of this?

Odd...I had a dream of a major flood last night. I don't believe you can always rely on a dream book or site because you need to go within you to interrupt it. Are you experiencing major stress? Are you concerned with how you are eating or your health? Could this be a 'warning' or signal to take better care of yourself? The moon often represents intuition and trusting your own. It also is a reminder that things lurk in the shadows....

I just read up on the Moon as a symbol in dreams. And it talks about the moon being a representation of your current feelings. I wonder if the Moon falling was a symbol that the way I've felt for the longest time will cease at an unexpected time.

I looked up the Moon symbol and recognized it as a symbol of a current lifestyle or emotional state. The fire is interpreted as the attempt to remove something. The falling of the moon is interpreted as a letting go of it. The moon falling in the middle of the night is interpreted as the end of something and the beginning of another. The Tsunami that follows is interpreted as an intense release of emotions that has a major impact on your life. Also, in the dream, the first thing I want to do when the moon falls is light up a cigarette- but I don't. Smoking is interpreted as an attempt to shield yourself or others from your emotional state.

What I'm honestly believing is that this dream is a sign that everything I've felt for years and years will fall apart right before me and usher in a new way of living. All the feelings that I've felt about being alone will come to a close as a partner enters my life, my dreams take off and become reality, and everything that seems to be unsettled settles.

My friend, who is a dream interpreter, also stated that when I felt the need to step around something to see the moon through the window clearly, that in my current state I'm not recognizing the Moon symbol, but it's present right now. Basically what he's saying is that the falling of the moon means that something I know of already will change everything about who I am. He also says that the Moon symbol means that this change will be incredibly dramatic, on an earth-shattering scale.
