What a great day. I can point to three reasons for my happiness.
1) I spent some time in the city - exploring areas that I do not usually spend much time around. Mostly, St Pauls and Paternoster Sq. Love it aorund there. I went to a different cafe than normal and had a lovely bacon sandwich to start me off for the day. It really is true - a change is as good as a rest.
2) I helped my team - I stepped in a the last minute to host a session that one of my team was running. I was able to introduce it, and run it to time and make sure that the session delivered what they wanted. I also helped out on a piece of work that one of my team was really worrying about. I sorted it with him - a real team effort.
3) I have had deliveries of lots of things that I ordered from amazon. A coffee machine that i am really pleased to have ordered and received (they left it with a neighbour!), a book of the history of the village that we are moving to (and its nearest neighbouring village), an OHTO (japanese make) fountain pen and mechanic pencil (which I ordered only yesterday), and delivery of something else by special delivery. I am sure that is the ipod touch case. I will pick it up tomorrow from the post office.
Tonight, I was planning to go for a run in the dark. I love running at night. It is fabulous. And very relaxing and relieving of stress. It is also a great way of burning off some excess calorie consumption (i have to confess to eating a few Rocky Roads and mini yule logs today - ooops - they slipped into my mouth!). I will go in the morning. I did 50 bi-cep curls with a small weight. I want to tone up my muscles :-)
Have you had a fabulous day today?
