I haven't blogged in 4 days and I feel a little off track already! That is why it is important for me to blog everyday but it was easier with my first few seasons as I made many friends here and had so much support. I want to spend more time on here getting to know new like-minded people. I like this quote by C.S Lewis "Friendship is born at the moment when one person says to another, "What, you too? I thought I was the only one."'
I haven't been at work since I last blogged as I have no babysitter, my partners sister babysit a few days before so me and my partner could both work and earn double the money. I have been on top of my finances lately and it feels great, like a weight lifted off my shoulders.
I have been sorting out childcare for my kids when I go back to work two days a week. We visited the nursery on Friday and my son loves it there especially because my friends little girl goes there and she loves my son. My daughter will be going to after school club there and she loves it too and keeps asking when she going there. Today I left my son at the nursery for a couple of hours as I have 8 hours free tester. It was the first time I have left him with anyone apart from my family. He is very clingy and cries when I leave even when I leave him with my partner and vice versa. He loves being with both of us and gets so upset when one of us has to go out. Anyway he didn't even notice that I had gone as he was having so much fun. When I collected him he looked so grown up (he is only two) and I was so proud of him at nursery at the next stage in his life.
I feel grateful for the opportunity to work and my son the opportunity to go to nursery. The government pay 80% of childcare as I'm working part-time so my son wouldn't of had the opportunity to go nursery until he is three yrs old when I would get childcare for free for 15 hours per week.
I start my jewellery course tomorrow evening which I'm really looking forward to as I haven't worked on my jewellery for a while. The last few nights I have been cutting jewellery ideas from magazines and I plan to buy an A3 sketch pad and stick them in it. Tonight I did a quick sketch of a design I want to start making in tomorrows class. I just got a bit of inspiration after sorting out all my clippings and it only took me a couple of minutes to come up with a simple design for a necklace and matching earrings. I can't wait to get started on making them tomorrow and seeing my two college friends. I didn't enrol last term due to money priorities but I'm grateful to have more than enough money this term:)
