I'm back from Rome, and all sun-tanned to prove it. We had a fantastic time. I really enjoyed going to the beach, and swimming in the beautiful, warm sea. I'm so glad the water was warm this year. Last year it was freezing, and I only went in once. So I made up for it this time as much as I could! ha ha ha.
Nonno (my girls' grandad) took us on a day-trip to a water park too, where we got to see seals and loads of different birdlife, and even dolphins as well. I was quite surprised by my reaction to the dolphins. They actually stirred up quite a lot of emotion in me, and I found my eyes welling up on several occasions whilst watching them (luckily I was wearing sunglasses, so I didn't look like too much of a freak) They are so, so, so beautiful and intelligent and graceful! I would love to one day go to Hawaii and go swimming with them. I think that would be really amazing.
I also had the oppurtunity to spend some romantic, quality time with my partner, which was really nice. With three daughters, it's not something that we enjoy often enough. So I'm really grateful for the girls' grandparents who babysat for us so willingly. It makes all the difference.
So, all-in-all, it's been quite a good couple of weeks. And I'd love for this happy, carefree, relaxed vibe, which is so prevalent in Italy and it's people to continue as long as possible now that we're back. And that the essence of all the sunshine which we experienced there infuses itself into our daily lives here as well ♥
Lots of Love to everybody here! xoxoxxo
