S7, Days 40 & 41 - Blowing my venting session out of the water lol

On Monday, I had my appointment with the Army National Guard in the morning, and I got there about 30 minutes early. As I waited, I asked some questions of the staff and I was surprised by how laid-back everyone was. The Sergent I was supposed to talk to got held up somewhere else, and I ended up talking to one of the counselors in the office. He is a year and 3 days older than I am with a wife and two children and lived in the area that he worked at. I got a chance to ask him all of my questions and this is what I found out:

They will be training me to learn human resources which includes payroll, medical and life insurance and filing reports. While I'm in job training and basic training I will earn money equal to what I would make if I had that job already, around $3,000 per month for 4 months. After that, I can either work 1 weekend per month at a much much lower rate, or I can find a job through the National Guard that is full time and make that $3,000 for as long as I want to keep working.

My only challenge is finding babysitters for my kids for that 4 month period. It won't be all at once, first 8.3 weeks for job training and then 10 weeks for basic training, but I will more than likely have to have my daughter stay with someone on her father's side and keep Nicky here with Ayah.

My daughter's father called after my appointment and liked what he heard, he may look into it after he finishes talking to some people.

On Tuesday, Kevin had an appointment to talk to a counselor at the International Academy of Design and Technology. College. I went with him, of course, to make sure everything sounded good and looked good, and it really really did.

He's a College Boy now. This lifted a lot of burdens. He will have money for his books and class expenses, and when he asked his uncle for help with the application fee, he found out he may have a full time jojb with Radio Shack also. That will be great. He has the opportunity to create a focused plan for his career which he can get started in right away as he learns.

When we were on our way home, his uncle relayed a message to call his grandmother back, and when he did, she had money for him for clothes too. He has an appointment for a job interview today as well. I think my vent to the Universe worked lol.

Well, I am really happy that the Guard job sounds so great! If it is meant to work out then the child care will totally fall into place. I see it happening!!

So glad things are smoothing out with Kevin, too. Sometimes it is a big thing to grow up, to let go of childish things, and he may be hanging onto them. But it sounds good right now, especially the support from his family.

Please just ask God to make something smooth and it will happen. Tell the Universe that you will wait for it to show you what is next, rather than you figure out the next 45 steps! There is always an easy way, we are the ones who resist it. Now, I KNOW that I often make things difficult for myself, so I'm not bragging here. Trust me, I'm always hard on myself. But I am still going to tell you to just allow that things seem stuck or slow-going right now, don't push against WHAT IS, then visualize like crazy what you would like to happen instead.

Your comment makes so much sense, Yenna. I've had such amazing experiences with manifesting, and when I get frustrated I lose sight of what a great job I'm doing and how things are still manifesting for me.

I'm in a time in my life where so many things seem to be upside down, and I really would like some things to work in my favor to relieve that stress. My discomfort is from knowing that I have to put so much action into so many things to get that ball rolling. Nothing is ever just a couple steps either, it's 45 steps to pass go and it really can be frustrating.

A lot of those things are coming together though and I just have to be patient.

It's funny how well venting can work. Maybe because we feel so strongly and are so focused and state our desires firmly. A friend of mine did this recently because she was tired of being single and that day three men PM'd her from her singles site. None of them worked out, but then she didn't ask for a relationship, but to be contacted. And I have had many experiences where I have demanded something and got it almost immeditely. My discomfort comes from feeling a little ashamed at being so demanding! However, sometimes we just have to say what we have to say, and I have to remind myself that the Universe it always loving and flowing- I am not going to be punished by God for speaking harshly or wanting something.
