My 100 day challenge ended last week. I did not make a video about it yet but wanted to give you guys a wrap up of how it went!

I found myself much more grateful for what I do have this season. I stopped focusing on what I don't have and that freed up so much more space to be in a state of grace. Everyday gratitude is alot easier to do when you are focused on all the blessing you DO have!

I am part of such a huge on-line community and it makes me very grateful. I live in Denver, Colorado and in all honesty I have not found a group of people I can relate to here. I recently opened a facebook account. I wrote on there that my dream job is to get paid to talk. I just got accepted as a youtube partner! Now I get paid via google adsense just to make videos and do what I love: talk, share & inspire others to live a full life!

I am a catholic and I feel so blessed that Lent falls during this hundred day challenge. This year the focus is on fasting and that is one of my all time favorite things to do and promote. There are all different types of fast to go on. I even saw an article about fasting from clutter! How great is that. Last night I was soooooooooooooooo frustrated I could scream. I wanted to in the middle of IHOP. I went there for some ice tea and the chance to get out of my apartment. My grandma turns 80 next month. My sister and I are planning a party for her. I love everything about planning a party that celebrates certain milestones. I made the prefect invitations today. My daughter got accepted into a college last week. So right away I realized we need some scholarship money!! I did not plan for my daughter to go to college. It is a long story but just trust me she was not college bound! Anyways I saw a sponsorship from BK for 1k that was due today. I figured we would never have time to fill it out. My mom is very sick. I get to go and visit her today. Every time I go go to visit my mom I am very happy I get to spend one more day with her. My life growing up with her was far from perfect. She had a past that most would consider not something to be proud of. Through it all she survived. In the end she matured and became the type of person I always knew she was. I just got married in April of 08. Now my best friend is getting married. We went dress shopping today. It was alot of fun. She actually found THE dress today (pic of model below). I live in Denver, Colorado. A lot of folks assume it is always freezing here. That is not true. I kid you not it is 70 degrees and sunny here today. We have a saying in Colorado if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change. Today is a perfect day. I am so grateful to be here.

Gratitude: Inspired country
One thing I realized today is up or down we are a persistent people. No matter the depth of our trials we carry on. Watching the inauguration I was struck by my fellow country men. I can sense the excitement that change has brought. We can be a better country and people. In Obama's first 100 days I have hope he will change our country for the better. I have a similar hope for my first 100 day challenge.

My broken scale. I have owned my beloved scale for 9 years now. It was there for me through ups and downs. The numbers are the scale are more than just numbers. Today I am grateful for: My husband! He woke me in a very sweet and nice way. There is nothing worse than being woke up by an alarm wouldn't you all agree? Today I am grateful for: Avocados! My husband brought me back 2 of the biggest most beautiful Avocados from L.A. on Monday. It was finally ripe today and I made a wonderful raw salad with it.
