I took my partner to the Toastmasters dinner last night. She enjoyed it. I really enjoyed all the guys meeting her too - particularly after I did my speech about Susie a few weeks ago. Susie had a good time and really enjoyed the speech from Frankie. I really like those guys at Kent Speakers. They are great. Everyone is really good fun, it is a really supportive group, and whats more - people are fabulous speakers!
What is so great about today? Well - I woke up this morning and remembered - we… Continue

It was interesting last night. I was reading through some of the journal articles that I wrote over the last year or so. I found that what we are doing now with our house buying is exactly what I said back in May 2008. Interesting. Basically, it describes Pluckley to a tea, including the ability to walk to the sta… Continue

I brought Olivia and Nicky over to see the new house today and they loved it. It was so cute watching them run from room to room lol. I can't wait to move in!
The rest of that day was pretty relaxing. My 22 year old sister was busy going through her storage boxes and putting some things in the car prematurely - she's pretty excited about her new living space. She has an actual bedroom now lol.
Outside of the school money I am waiting on (that would make things so much easier lol), I am also an… Continue

An unbelievable thing happened today!
I went driving around with my sister to look for the house that has potential, and we couldn't find it. We found another house to rent near the same area, so I called and left a message for the person who was renting the house out, and we went home.
When we got home, the person called me back, but the house didn't have a basement, so that stopped us in our tracks. I was a bit disappointed by that until I got a call from the person renting the ideal house -… Continue
I cooked dinner for my sweetie the other night and we got to sit together at my house and watch some tv and talk. It was very very nice. I was happy to feel that my home was just my own for a while.
I found a house nearby the house I really like that is $75 cheaper. The only difference (besides not having a hot tub) is that the basement is not finished and they want more money for the security deposit. I sent an email and the person responded, so I am wanting to see if they will be available to… Continue

I am trying to let the thought go of my school money arriving, however, I got an email saying that two of my teachers have not reported attendance and that it may disrupt my financial aid. One of my teacher's immediately sent emails correcting the issue, but I haven't heard from my other professor yet for my Psychology class. I will find out what is going on for sure on Saturday.
I did finish my critical analysis paper for my performing arts class nearly 2 weeks early, so that feels good. I pla… Continue

Today the money from my school disburses which means the real clock starts for when I receive it. As I have continued to look for a house to rent, I've been a bit worried about not having the money for the security deposit while I look. I am not sure of the likelihood that a landlord will let me move in without paying any money, so I am unsure. I am still going to look though. The house that I found seems almost too good to be true, and I haven't seen the inside of it yet, so I am still going to… Continue

I have been busy making goals come true for myself this past couple months. It has been all action. Its amazing how much has changed, and for the better!! Backing up, I finished my last season, season 5 in April. At the very end I was getting super busy.
I found The 100 Day Challenge on youtube.com (after searching for Oprah and coming up with one of Clarissa's challenge videos.) way back in 2007. At that time, I was unhappily married and, really unhappily working and unhappily living overall.… Continue
This is my house. I am her plastic surgeon. I'm buying it with cash. I will buy it with $130,000.00. I will have it within the next few weeks. I will be able to get in there to clean, work, paint and beautify every day while my house is being sold. When my house… Continue
Hello all,
I've been out of here for a while...
Just checking in, and reporting a wonderful manifestation: a perfect home for me and my family showed up at the very last moment before I went and rented one I didn't really feel for! Now please all help me manifest the financial part as well...
I also request and accept and WELCOME a smooth move this weekend, I'm moving out of the old house two months before I can get into the new one... But all is falling into place, I've found a nice solution… Continue

It was good. A production assistant on set looked exactly like Lilou. It was funny to me. I wanted to hear that one of kind accent, but no accent, just your typical American accent. Suicide Girls on set looked hot. They were mad cool too. Funny guy from Georgia was cracking me up and a cute girl had a guitar with her that sounded great. I played a few blues licks and strummed Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which another sweet girl who had Lyme Disease wanted me to keep playing. I busted out… Continue

I've edited this post as I resolved the urgent part that i needed to and i don't want anything negative, in my vibrational space... ;o)
I'm not earning enough to cover all the bills, although i'm getting closer... so i need the universe to help me find a cheaper house, in the… Continue
Well, I'll be leaving the farm tomorrow, and I decided to take time to reflect on my life since the last major change a bit over two months ago. This was the beginning of my house-sitting adventure when I was paying a fortune to rent what was essentially a bit of a dump in an inner city s… Continue
No matter how much i try to get organised I only manage a few days or a week at most, then its back to mild chaos or worse still... total chaos... ugh!!!
9pm Friday night I got a call from friends I hadn't seen, since 3 days after we moved to this house, which was a year ago... They said they were coming to visit on Saturday...
Now picture the scene... everytime i meditated on bringing harmony to my life, my mind kept wandering to my office and moving it downstairs...!! So thats what i did thi… Continue
A doctor that I worked for once asked me where my dream home would be. I said Huntington Harbour. My Uncle had lived there for ever and I had been on his yacht many times and in his beautiful houses in the harbor of Huntington Beach, Ca. It is not Newport but is more me. I love the Christmas light parades and the feeling of the community., I love Belmont Shores too and I love the beach period. I have been looking at real estate for rent all day. I will have a few thousand but because I am moving… Continue
Got back from accountant and feeling relief. Got the taxes filed for '07. Whew! There was so much paperwork and things to compile this year. But, things are done and we are happy.
Still got lots of housework to do. Like that poor mule in the picture. I got too much to drag around an… Continue

Made lots of progress in organising a big event on Monday. Was great because I persuaded one of our head honchos to come along and sit on a Q&A panel. So really pleased about that.
Also had to use my diplomacy to smooth over a situation at work with one of the others who I had clashed the event with . All sorted in the end.
I would also like to have him as my mentor. I read in one of Jack Welchs books that its a good idea to get a Board member to be a mentor to help bring you on in your ca… Continue
