Thought you might benefit from the info as well. ~Aloha
Here are some good raw food/fruitarian links. I've had a few things published in Living Nutrition Magazine which now goes by the name Vibrance. I have an article called Fruitarian Phenomenon they published that was about my experience of eating all fruit for one summer. It was a life changing experience.
Perhaps you can buy frozen fruit and juice and make smoothies in a blender if you can't find much fresh fruit where you live. Add bananas to your smoothies to get full.
I believe in eating fresh local and seasonally, this is why I go where it's warm in the winter!
Do you get persimmons and citrus where you live? Apples, pears? Eat whatever fresh local fruit that you can and it will be very satisfying.

Morris Kroks stuff is all good/educational to read and also Doug Grahams book called 80/10/10. His diet is eating only 10% fat in any day. I actualy feel best when I eat less than 10% and if I do eat more fat than that in a day, I will back off from the fats the next few days to balance it all out.
I believe the Natural Hygiene diet is the best diet for humans.
Doug Graham, Dave Klein with Living Nutrition/Vibrance and Morris Krok, are all advocates of Natural Hygiene. Good luck to you!
I suggest Southern California near San DiegoCounty beach towns.
It's been more challenging in Hawaii to get the quality fruit and veggies, but now that we have a Whole Foods market it's easier...expensive though.
An easy way to baby step into raw foods is to eat fruit all day (or as long as you can) we make fresh squeezed orange juice each morning and then all the fresh fruit you want. My husband makes smoothies to stay full. If you don't have access to fresh juice we've used bottled pineapple coconut juice or apple juice as a base, add 2 bananas and some frozen strawberries, or peaches or whatever and you have a good smoothie. Then for dinner we'll make a huge green salad with whatever veggies appeal to us.You can steam some veggies, have with a baked potato or yam or some rice or just have more fruit.
The way I stayed eating this way was to allow myself whatever I wanted whenever I wanted.(even if it was chocolate, a hamburger, fries etc) That way I didn't feel deprived or too rigid.I realized that I just missed the taste, so most of the time just a few bites would satisfy that.
I always went right back to eating fresh the next meal, not because I thought I should but because it felt better to get hydrated again and feed myself something alive and nourishing.
We've discovered that the less fats we have in a day ,the easier it is to stay raw.The fats made us sluggish and tired and made us crave more cooked foods.
We'll only use avocado every other day or so in our salads. Also watch the dressings...they can be loaded with fats.
Doug Grahams 80/10/10 book is a great way to get into raw.
It's the diet that has felt the best for us. (even though we don't stick to it!)
Good luck..it's an awesome journey that changes you forever.
Thanks for the invite! Nice goals you have.
If you ever want any info or tips on raw foods, my husband and I ate almost 100% raw for about 6 years. We still eat a high raw diet, I feel I've found a good balance.
