Intentions & Goals:
-*- To read 50 books by the end of the 100 day challenge -

love to read but I find it really hard to find time to read so I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to transform in to a better person who reads more =).
++*- How I will do this is, I will make a roster of my day-to-day things I have to do, putting aside AT LEAST ½ and hour each day for reading. =)

Learn how to speak yugoslav so I can talk to my extended family in somthing other that hand gestures =O.
This is a goal I feel I really need to accomplish so that my Serbo-Croatian blood can go down in my family and so that my children (not for a while…he-he) can also speak. I also want to be able to speak Serbo-Croatian so that I can talk to my relatives and even my grandmother without having to gesture everything with my hands.
++*- How I will do this is not only have a roster that puts down the times where I will study (on weekdays-1hr on weekends-2hrs), I will also have to find websites that teach me, and get my mum to teach me a little bit as well. If I cannot find any websites/books I’m sure my mum will do find, and there is a Serbo-Croatian school to learn how to speak somewhere near the beach which I might enquire about.

Eat healthier AND learn about what I am eating.-.

Eat healthier and learn about what I am eating:
This goal (as I explained earlier) is also I lifelong goal “to be healthy, fit and not be a fat statistic”. Although this goal is pretty easy for some, for me it is not, in fact it is the opposite. On the 8.11.08I didn’t eat a single piece of healthy food. I ate Doritos, chocolate, creaming soda, water and lollies. That is no joke that is all I ate, that isn’t my normal menu at all, but that doesn’t stop it from being wrong. I want to learn about the things that I am putting in my body, I want to be a “label reader” and know all about the different fats, sugars etc…
++*- I think I might need to take a trip down to the local library and pick up a few heath books along with health cooking books. I think my first step with this goal is to learn what is in the food and how it is affecting me. Going raw is something i might also look into (considering im already vego;p) =)

Okay, this one is also a very important one that I always seem to neglect. I feel as though this goal could help me in the future as well as now. I think I need to study SO much more than I do (FYI…I don’t study).I suppose this goal might be the one that I will need the most encouragement, so please feel free to help me stay motivated!
++*- I think the whole roster thing MIGHT help but I think it is more that I tend to avoid it, even when I am bored and there is nothing to do. Maybe I could force myself to do it and tell myself “no computer until homework is done!” which is easier said than done SO…if you could give me some ideas on how I could stay motivated PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE could you tell me, and help me.

Walk the dog 4 times a week! -

This is the one goal that I think might be the hardest as I don’t really like walking by myself, but I am sure that Muffin will be a good walking buddy. This goal and my “eat healthy” goal are both working toward not only the “loose 5kg” goal but also a lifelong goal to be healthy and not to become a statistic (unless it is one for fit and healthy people). The reason this is probably my main goal is because it isn’t just for my health, it is my dog Muffins too, so I feel that if I give up I am letting own him as well, hence why I’m not giving up! =)
++*- How I will keep myself motivated is to plan where I am going to walk the dog beforehand and make sure there as different as possible, so maybe I have three or four different places to walk to and I rotate them throughout the week. I am aiming for a minimum of 30mins of walking each day, but this can be modified to be more, but no less. Once again this is where that roster will come in handy, as it will tell me loose, but set times (if that makes sense).

I want to lose 5 Kilos by the end of the 100 day challenge!:

This goal it just as I am in the healthy weight range but I think I have packed on just a little bit since I started becoming particularly unhealthy. So I think goal is going to be quite easy, with all the exercise and healthy eating I am going to be doing, so I think pretty soon there will be a tick() beside this one =).
++*- My best bet with this goal is just to stick with my other goals that are health related as I am 100% sure that it will be lost without starving myself (not that I would EVER do that!).

This goal I do not expect to be finished by the end of the 100 days, but I do think I will make some progress. I hope to get at least half way through =).
++*- I think this isn’t one of those things that I can put in a roster because it isn’t like you can force yourself to do; it is something you do when you have inspiration. So I hope I can get as much inspiration as possible! =)

This goal is one of those relaxant goals, as it is ‘me’ time, and I think that that s VERY important! This goal is something I am going to be working towards, as I need to actually find books or people who can teach me. I know there are some really good tie-chi DVD’s and books at my local library that I might go get as they are probably the best bet I have at learning. I think I might to tie-chi opposed to yoga because tie-chi is all about taking it slow and getting fit at the same time.
++*- The first thing am going to do is head over to the local library and grab as many tie-chi related things as I can + look around on the noticeboard to see if they have any tie-chi lessons or anything. Then I am going to go home and once again mark in times on my roster. Obviously read about it and maybe watch the DVD, (so you can see how it’s done before going along with it).

Get $500 to be able to buy a video camera.
This goal is one that I have started already, I have gotten $200 so far, so I feel really happy!! I have always wanted a video camera as I love capturing things tha happen (whether by videos or photos). This goal is one that I think that is more related to not going on money spending splurges.
++*- Save every penny I get and to chores around the house so that I get ‘pocket’ money (more like camera money).

I can relate to your dog walking intent. I have the same issue, but decided to align Baxter with me in that we both need to be healthy. When I go to work, there are several beaches along the way. So rather than saying Oh I'll take him for a walk when I'm done - which rarely ever happens because either I am so tired or it's too dark - now I am going to the beach Before I go to work. Like you I don't care much for walking on my own, so I make it a creative adventure - looking for beach glass or heart rocks - which I collect. I always have my digital camera with me, so some days it's just a photo day .. and with the rainy season being upon us here, I make sure I've got my gumboots and raingear in the car. I'm far from perfect in making it a routine, but I will get there! and Baxter is so much happier and healthier. Thank you for sharing this, and helping to motivate me more. I wish you much success with your goals :) ..oxox
