I was an independent contractor for a telephony company and I did not love this business. So, I decided that I would let it go to pursue my own dreams of being a Personal Development Author. I have never made any money in this profession. But hey, Y'nevano....

Wow Gerlaine,
That's pretty bold!! I think that if you are happy with your decision and see a bright future ahead of you, you should go for it. Although you have never made money in it doesn't mean it wouldn't happen. I think that setting your goals is very important, but you already know that.
I got sucked into a biz by a friend of mine who didn't end up doing it himself. I thought that's what I wanted for a while but I came to realize that it is not me at all. So I will pursue my art because this is what I really like to do.
So I would say good luck to the both of us. Keep me posted on your progress...
