The Letter From A Non-Believer

"The Secret is the latest and by far the worst example of a HIGHLY profitable trend where self-help gurus with fabricated new age titles and little relevant education, credentials or legitimate expertise brainwash us into believing that they know what is best for us, our marriages and our families.

Often their only contribution to society is introducing some exotic sounding, new age philosophy. However, they often cleverly form an incestuous group of like-minded “experts” who cross-promote each other by swearing their success is due to following the beliefs of another member of their “cult!” All the while, they ply the airwaves jockeying for an ever-larger audience by appearing in the national media to garner third-party endorsements.

The Self-Help Movement has become the Self-Destruct Movement by diminishing or destroying our critical thinking skills to choose and evolve on our own. We have given up the freedom to build healthy lives, marriages and families based on our unique history and life experience. Instead many victims, blinded to the value of their own life experiences, are attracted to the latest secret in self-help, in an attempt to find out what they should think, feel and how they should act… this is the definition of a cult.

The solution is a return to our (common) senses! The best way out of this learned “self-helplessness” is to go cold turkey. Stop following ALL self-help gurus now. Begin, instead, to reclaim your natural, God-given ability to think for yourself. The common sense that was once readily available to all of us is still there free of charge and waiting to be applied to just about any challenge we might face in life… all you have to do is use it.

Please, let’s all work together to stop the flock of “sheepeople” who blindly move from one UNPROVEN concept to the next, looking for the answers to life’s challenges that you already possess and that is the OBVIOUS!"

Hi Saif, I agree that it is easy to get caught up in this phenomena of self-help everybody let's get rich and manifest type obsession compulsion. The only answers are within and I don't think you have to read, purchase or do anything that doesn't feel good. We always have free choice to think for ourselves. No one can really do it for you. All of the people I have put up as gurus have always told me to look into my self for my answers. Leo Buscaglia was one of the first people who mentored me many years ago. Everytime I wanted to give him credit for helping me he would ask me to look inside myself. that I already have the answers. I have bought a lot of books and taken a lot of workshops looking for myself, I have also been to lots of bars and met lots of handsome men to find out who I am. That is not the way either. That is why i like Eckhart Tolle's work and Wayne Dyers work to remind us to go inside. That doesn't take money or gurus. Love and Light Gramma Shirah

To each their own. To me, that is the differance - this person and people like him/her are so wrapped up in the idea of changing everybody to conform to the idea of normalcy and truth they are closed to the idea that maybe, just maybe, the is another truth. The LOA beleivers I have met understand the "to each their own." concept. What a horrible life it must be to sit around and try to figure out what is wrong with other people so you dont have to look inwards . . . . .poor guy.

Er.....

Unfortunately, this "insight" of which I speak... has nothing to do with the topic of The Secret. Just, more-so... your character, mate. By rambling on and trying to "figure out" what The Secret crew is "trying to do".. instead of actually opening your heart and seeing what they have truly done... you've only proven that... well, you have a serious flaw in your negative character. You're too busy thinking about conspiracies, and trying to "figure things out" or .. "be the One who reads between the lines.." etc, etc..

There are a lot of things in life you should not be falling for ..(lol for example, porn is one of them...google; "the truth about porn") But I'm sure you along with a group of other "The Secret" bashers would rather cut off their own arms than do something like that! LOL

Again, it's all about character .. and who YOU are. Are you really a "private investigator" who "sees between the lines" and knows about all kinds of conspiracies and what-not? Or, are you just negative and only see them whenever it's something positive...

No-lie. I've actually seen people bash on Valentine's day.. calling it a "Halmark" business deal or something. Sure, Hallmark just happens to benefit from this beautiful holiday but why is your mind there? Why are you stopping the whole purpose of actually BUYING a beautiful and meaning postcard because you're sooo focused on them making money.

People like you should stop buying alltogether. Honestly, don't buy FOOD... i mean, have you seen those brands? Trying to make money off of you?! Isn't cereal, rice, fruits, etc... just all the same?! LOL

Again, if you're going to be "secret detective under private investigation of conspiracies.." why stop at The Secret? Continue your purpose and point... XD it's everywhere!

So you have two choices.... either enjoy life... or stop your own life and just focus on the negative. Either way, you're proving The Secret right.. haha

There's always a good way and bad way to look and do things with. For example, with a knife. You can cook a delicious meal with kitchen tools... but you can also use these same tools for destruction. It's all a matter of your character.

I cant even read this cos the person is so toxic. This person is so full of negative energy and I dont need such in my life .... eewww!!
Those who have ears to hear let them hear and those who ave eyes to see let them see. Do what thou wilt and follow your own path. I am all for positivity and I believe in the Law of Attraction. I pray for this person who wrote this. I pray they see the light :-)
