I am grateful for the potatoes in the oven.
I am grateful for my room.
I am grateful for my body.
I am grateful for the universe.
I am greateful for a good state of mind.
I am grateful for focus and determination toward a goal.

-I don't actually need to fix people. They can only want to fix themselves and seek help.

Today... I am thankful for:
Waking up refreshed and alert.
Finding the book "Book of Est." I"m half way through it in a day.
Enjoying the cold, yummy drink at the cafe place while reading my book.
Being at peace while reading my book.
Getting home safe; having a good meal.

I am grateful for having joined this group! Since then, I find myself being consciously grateful for the little things that happen to me all the time and I am just so grateful! I think it, I breathe it and I said loud some times! Thank you, I am so grateful!

Babysitting Thanks

Tonight the Barnum kids joined the Isaacs crew and I was on double duty. CHA-CHING! Thank you for such well-behaved kids! Thank you for $80 I got from Mrs. Barnum! That's an insane amount, that's a...$50 tip! Wow! I can honestly say this: that is the most money I have ever made in a 3 1/2 hour timespan*. Wow! Thank you for this money! And thank you for the $70 from Mrs. Isaacs! $120 for 4 hours of playing games, eating delicious food and getting plenty o' sun! YES!

What other good happened tonight? What other moments were there...?

I really liked playing duck duck goose and mafia. All 17 neighborhood kids came out. Natalie, the Meluishes babysitter, didn't want her kids playing outside, but gave in once I herded the rest of the kids onto the Meluishes lawn "Fine...but they have to come inside in half an hour." She jumped up from her slouched position on the steps to join us in red rover!

Little Brooks grabbed the rings on the playground set, said, "watch this!" and did a backflip. I found out later that she's only 3.

Playing spoons was great. George was hilarious. He silently grabbed a spoon in one hand and pretended to keep passing cards with the other hand. I finally figured it out when I noticed one spoon was missing, and looked up to see an enormous grin on his face. Then all heck broke loose as the rest of the table caught on and dove for the remaining spoons.
