My Emerging Self
I am the one who is looking up, squinting and laughing.
I am the one who is emerging from one place into a very different looking place.
I am the one who can't see where I am going yet but I keep pecking at the shell, getting a little bigger piece of the picture with each peck.
I am the one who who has gone from ice to sun and sand.
I am the one who looks toward the light with my eyes closed, trusting and laughing.
What do you want from me?
I want you to trust without knowing.
I want you to laugh and enjoy the Light.
I want you to keep pecking at the shell, knowing you have outgrown that safe place.
What do you have to give me?
I give you the senses to feel and acknowledge the Light, even when you can't see it.
I give you the tools for breaking out of your shell.
I give you joy in the face of new horizons.
How will I remember?
You will remember every time you see an egg or a child.
You will remember when you close your eyes and feel the sun on your face.

Gotta laugh. Iwnet to upload a SoulCollage card onto my blog and discovered I couldn't get my computer to work...so then spent and hour and a half on phone with my brother trying to fix it... after we evebtually fixed it I found this SoulCollage card sitting next to my computer.
I am the one who is a little girl who never has understood computers.
I am the one who is greatful my brother does.
I am the one who get frustrated by computer glitches and begins to feel "stupid".
I am the one who feels silly and gets angry when things are difficult!

Great cards by everyone. Very powerful! Thanks for sharing! I'd love to hear the "I am the one who..." statements that go with these cards that don't have them... The SoulCollage Facilitator in me is always curious :-)

I am the one who reaches for her dreams no matter how far they seem.

This is my 2nd one. I have not made any cards but these were made on my computer until I can print them out and put them on cards. I really enjoy making these! WOW!

Not sure what I want to call this one - it feels like the wounded child, but also has an element of naturalist. It remeinded me of a story told by Clarrissa Pikola Estes called the Skinless Child.

I just joined the challenge and I am happy to find Soul Collage here. I have been collecting images for a couple of years and just put together a bunch of cards over the last few weeks. It is amazing how the images evoke connections!
