http://cdbaby.com/cd/mollysonnyboy2Day 9: Today I looked at my yucky old wood floors, the first thing that catches your eye when you walk into the living room. I used my noggin and decided to call the local hardware center to find out who might be able to fix my wood floors: strip/stain etc. them.
I got a name and a number. He's said he will come today at 1pm.
Yay!

I am "so" learning the power of gratitude. I not to long ago wrote about clutter in my life, and the pure misery it was causing me. Until finally I realize that what you focus on increases, therefore…

I released some clutter (I wrote in my Blog about it) and I feel great. It seems like emotional clutter is going away with it too and I feel so much better already. I do think however that all of us…

Clutter isn't just "stuff"

I realized that I'll never have the time to do what I REALLY want to do as long as I read everything in my Inbox. So, NO MORE JOKES for me. I'm getting off the newsletters lists. etc., etc. Then, I'…

I did a lot of decluttering today and sent someone in my place to Salvation Army and the Recycling Center. I am pleased with myself and I will focus on getting "for sale" items listed on the internet and then put away somewhere.

Tomorrow I have about 15 people coming over so I will need to work tomorrow. This time, though, there will not be a whole lot of stuff stashed away in a room (some, just not a lot) the house is actually becoming clutter free and organized. Yay.

Tomorrow I am going to make a trip to the Salvation Army and a trip to the Recycling Center. I have done this many times but I am beginning to see the light of day.

Three other things I've done to reduce clutter are: selling books on Amazon, selling CDs and DVDs on Second Spin, selling things on ebay.

I haven't done this very much lately but I am ready to face what is left of my clutter and clear even more energy. I am happy to have the opportunity to post this intension. Tomorrow I will get up really early and have a really productive day.

It's hard isn't it? Releasing the clutter can be like a millstone around your neck. But you are strong. You can do massive surgery on you abode if you want to. PUT YOUR CLEANING CAPS ON KIDS, and get to work!
Blessings,
Amalia

Today I filled up a shopping bag of picture frames. I went through a phase of buying picture frames. I have no idea why. I'm still working on my desk area.

If there is one thing I need to get started with its de-cluttering !! There is "stuff" laying around everywhere in my tiny apartment...I just know I will feel better once I start organizing my space a bit better ! Sometimes I feel like I can't even breathe in that mess :)
So, Im starting TODAY...in fact, Im starting RIGHT NOW !

The last few weeks I've been taking passes at 2 bookcases in the living room. They had been quite full. I ended up filling up the trunk of the car twice for two trips to the Goodwill. I'm sure there will be more to come. Still working on my desk area. It hasn't gotten worse although it hasn't gotten better.

OMG Abigail. I ordered custom charms from you last week! How freaky is that? I realized I haven't sent you paypal payment, I was waiting for a bill then it slipped my mind. I added it to my to do list for today and I'll email you! That is soooooooo freaky!

I've been releasing clutter this week - first with clothes, as I had lost weight last year, and I know there are some people who would be appreciative to have my size 10s! Today I am dropping off books that didn't sell on half.com to a local church where they have a "book donation" container outside. My goal is to work on my car, where my items need to come out of the trunk and into my classroom, and out of the backseat and into my house.

I think my big break through with clutter was two fold. One: The realization that others are manifesting the stuff that I don't need and that I need to do my part by letting go and trusting that what I need will come to me when I need it. The Universe is my Mary Poppins bag.
The second realization was that I brought the stuff into the house one or two things at a time, I can let it go the same way. I don't do well with collecting a bunch of stuff to get rid of all at once. So every day, I think, what can I release today? And I take something to someone, throw something out, respond to a freecycle request or put something in the donation bag. And wonderful new things that I actually do need have appeared in my life since I've been doing it this way. I no longer feel overwhelmed.
My next task is to apply this to the office. Harder as I can't let the little one in and he wants in! But one thing at a time....

I saw the name of this group and had to sign up right away! I recently moved, and I wanted to get rid of everything I hadn't unpacked since my *last* move in 2002. I sold a bunch of it on eBay, but not nearly enough. Now my office/craft room in the new house is full of boxes that say "eBay" and are full of more things I want to sell. But I tend to get lazy about it - I'll have a spurt of activity, take a lot of pictures, do a bunch of listings, and then rest on my laurels for another week. I can't make this room a very useful office or place for crafts without getting all these eBay boxes out of the way. And I could definitely use the money, since I have a tendency to *buy* things on eBay that I shouldn't spend so much money on. (I've never bought completely beyond my means, but that $900 diamond crystal collection right before my $1000 income tax payment was not a good idea. Now if I could just get the inspiration to take some pictures of the diamonds and sell a few of them...)

Okay, here we go: I take pictures of the best diamond crystal. I list it on eBay. It sells for a profit. I am happy and my bills are paid.

Incidentally, my eBay id is "amarceluk" for anyone interested in helping with my decluttering :-)
