Prompt 301

Come Up With 10 Good Reasons I Shouldn’t Write Your Life Story

1) I’m too young. How can I write my life story at 24? I’ve just begun.
2) My mom wouldn’t like it. I love my mom but she’d be a pretty important character and she’s quite private.
3) My dad might laugh so hard he spits beer on himself in his favorite chair.
4) There’s already tons of high school and college stories. But I could have a great chapter on “Retail Customers From Hell.”
5) I wouldn’t know how to end it.
6) My husband is very private too.
7) My life story has to be totally awesome and make all the high school friends I left behind jealous. Moving to Canada to become a writer will sound more romantic once I have a physical book to show for it.
8) I need to review grammar rules, or at least comma rules.
9) Saskatchewan is boring. It’s like writing about little house on the prairie with rude elitist neighbors, no backyard farm, bad jobs and an internet connection. Wait, I can see the humor in that. . .
10) It would be funnier as a movie than a book.

Managed 1955 words - they all suck. that was such hard work. Sheesh, hope my pep talk from this week was right and it'll start coming together again. x
