The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Maybe some of us don't understand the power of daily intentions?? I know I don't know the true power of it. For the longest time I thought of it as goal setting. And for the longest time I would say to myself I never reach my goals. It is more of a shift in thinking. To intend for me is breaking down those big goals into smaller ones for today. A "to-do" list for the day. Intend before you go to sleep at night that tomorrow will be amazing, filled with love and joy, miracles will happen to me and my family. Then when you come out of sleep immediatly thank the universe for the sleep. Say thank you as many times as you can before you think of anything else. To often i find myself thinking of what went wrong or what I didn't do yesterday. Or even memories that don't need to be revisted before I even get out of bed. Starting your day with thank you's makes your intentions that much stronger. So why don't we do it more often??

I think its a bit like riding a bike or learning something new, once you train yourself it becomes second nature, and sites like the CCOR site and groups like the Daily Intentions group are a constant reminder that we are conscious creators, to keep us on track with this and To truly know that we all have the power within us to create the lives that we want.

Jean, You are so right as always! You have such wisdom & explain it so beautifully. Thank you. JJx

April, Thanks for this it is a brilliant reminder to myself & others that saying thanks & intending on a daily business is such a great idea. Personally I have looked upon trying to intend daily as almost another chore, but the way you have described it makes me want to do it so it will at least be an enjoyable experience from now on. JJx

I like this group because it reminds me to live an intentional life rather than a "go with the flow" life.

It also reminds me to go back to my 100-day goals and see what there resonates with me today!

I try to set my goals with a balance of inner strength work, work affecting the world as a whole, and concrete goals that I can look at and say "There. I set a goal to do that and it is done." Like budgeting. If you can handle the semi-monthly goals the quarterly goals will be that much easier. And if you can't, then you need to rework your plan!

I agree with Jean, I also think that something most co-creators always forget is to feel good. When you wake up in the morning your first priority should be to do the things that you enjoy and write in your gratitude book and meditate to get in alignment with source. It really helps making intentions a lot better because we're vibrating at higher frequencies.

Here is some hint that can be used in making intentions more powerful and more manifestable. It is taken form zenhabits.com
"Make a simple plan, on a small sheet of paper. What actions are needed? Make the steps actually actionable — instead of “cut back on spending”, write “make a list of expenses that can be eliminated” or something like that. Instead of “start paying off debts” write something like “set up automatic payment for Visa card”."

I think Jean is right too - and I also think its becasue we look at the our ((we think) failures. "oh look" (she said, looking at yesterday's list)., " i didn't do that ..or that ..or that ....hell most of it ..."

It can be very dispiriting. Especially if you are "butterfly" on tasks like me! (funny how focusedI can get on them too - the exact opposite at times).

One thing I do is ADD to a list things that I HAVE done in a day - add it and cross it off straight away with a flourish, "Done!"

OK, its a small thing but its positive. And faced with a mini map of your success and your things still to do ( I refused to say failires even though in honesty i must confess I often feel they are) maybe its easier to take the kindness from one part of yourself, and focus it to the other "undicsiplined" side of yourself, to help make the choices that are about what you really know you need to do, and are using (maybe!) diversionary tactics, as I call them, to avoid doing.

Today I spoke with a colleague who I have known for years. He is a great guy and he told me a few things in a 10 minute conversation that I had not known for the 20 years I've known him. This was an unscheduled 10-15 mins of the day ...but he truly seemed to like the conversation and I know I did. I just can not think that is was a waste of time, or wrong. It wasnt an "eventful moment" at all, but it was a moment of good connection and we both felt good at the end. I think that was a very important little piece of sunshine and smile in at time when so much that is very difficult is happening around me and to me. It really made my day. So I am going to keep thinking about it!

To morrow I am looking forward to doing a guided meditation (Jon Kabat-Zinn, guided meditation). I managed 3 this week, and feel asleep for a few mins in each one (I cheated at the end of the last one, got up and rewound and listened carefully to the end, so I knew what was there consciously for next time) but somehow, so far I don't see going to sleep as a failure and I dont want to...and that makes me want to keep at it, until i am present (that is to say, NOT gently sleeping even its for only a minute or so) all the way though.

funny...:-)

Love to all, M

I fully agree, some times we forget to say thanks and be grateful for the little things. I'm starting my new 100 days and will do this every morning. Blessings and thanks to you..Alison x

Exactly! Gratitude is so important and too often we fail to say 'thanks'

As you have said it's all about a shifting your thinking. That has been the most challenging for me--retraining myself to focus and to stay on track with my goals and intentions

Perhaps its something and nothing. Or maybe it's just me. But I find my day just kind of goes to pot if I don't set my intentions, or keep up to date with my gratitude journal. As for setting my intentions, I picked up a brilliant trick from reading Danielle LaPorte's blog. I write my intenions for the day on small post it notes and stick them to the outside of my computer monitor. I'm new enough with all this for little tricks like that to work well for me.
