The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Hi Everyone!

How do you "teach" the principles of Law of Attraction to your kids? What are your experiences in the discussion about the subject with your children? How do you involve them in the process?

Share your experiences and questions with the group!

Have a great day!

Claudia, I just added some things about LoA and my children to my latest blog entry, March 24th, 2008.

I really look forward to more discussion within this group. I have a 5 year old who is in preschool 1/2 days and a 3 year old. Also an 11 year old in 5th grade at our local public school. I am very pleased with how things have gone for her over the past 2 years. While my 11 year old could teach my LoA workshops, my son challenges me to grow in my understanding of how to teach it to him. I have some LoA methods I use with him, questions I ask him to help him focus on the good. "What was good about it?" Whatever "it" happens to be. And sometimes when he is upset and can't seem to help himself out of it, I give him my camera and tell him if he wants to feel better he can take pictures of the things that make him feel good around the house. The act of looking for things he likes makes him feel better. My 3 year old likes to be happy, so I can simply ask her if she is happy when she is not and she flips the switch. It is her choice, she just likes to feel good.

Please pass on all LoA at home tips you have! I have some to share too.

All the Best!
Dawn

Hi Dawn, Be sure and check out my books on www.joysongcreations.com I also love the Sara books to read to your children as they get older. I would also like to recommend Miller the Green caterpillar (Ithink) by Darrell House. It is a great story about believing in yourself. Love Gramma Shirah

I will be totally honest here and tell you all that I am a committed Christian and that is what brought me and my hubby to understand the law of attraction because it is all in the Bible we read everyday. We believe that God created it, so it is ours to use, and thank Him for it. So naturally, when we do Bible in our homeschooling every morning, I tell my kids about the power that is available to them and encourage them to worship the Giver and not just the gift of the Law of Attraction. We get really excited when we put it into action and talk about successful people we know that apply it to their lives without even knowing it!

I don't think the writers of the books about The Law of Attraction take away anything from what people believe about God, source, creative energy, spirit. I would love to recommend the book In God's Name by ---------Sasso. I can't remember her first name, I will come back to you later.Anyway, Coming from a Jewish background ( my father was a Rabbi), I learned that manyof the teachings attributed to Jesus were taught to him from the Rabbi's and his teachers. The Jewish people just didn't believe that He was the Messiah. I don't even think he needed to be worshipped as much as followed his teachings. I personally believe that if we all listen to our Hearts, our Source that the world would be a better place. We want to teach our children to love each other and treat each other the way we would like to be treated. That is some of what I believe. Love Gramma Shirah

Sometimes it seems more like what my children can teach me about the LOA rather than what I can teach them.

My 9 year old seems to have a massive amount of understanding about it and, as well as asking questions, he loves giving me his opinion about things.

My 12 year old is very deep and analyses and tests everything for himself! He's open to everything but doesn't accept anything until he's tried and tested it.

My daughter is almost 16 and doesn't really pay attention to the LOA in her daily life. That all changes when she really wants something. Then she focuses her thoughts, writes down her goal, draws or paints it, includes it as part of her MSN login and totally focuses - the strange thing is that she's always surprised when she gets exactly what she wants.

I encourage all my children to set themselves goals and the 2 younger ones meditate, with me, every night. The main things that they're taught is to always treat others the way they would like to be treat and to be grateful for all they have already.

They're all generally happy children and not much seems to get them down - they don't complain when we say "we haven't got the money right now" or that they've had to move out of our home because of the roof falling in last Christmas! They've taken that in their stride and have taught me a great deal - they're just convinced that the roof will be taken care of when the time is right.

I love taking the time to learn from my children - their views and opinions of the world are amazing and sometimes completely astound me.
