In this universe, everything is energy, and each of us is a particle of it. Awareness makes the difference between understanding this or not. It’s as if each particle gave each other a conspiratorial wink, saying "We know we’re the same, but let’s make believe we don’t know each other.
This discovery has a profound impact on the understanding of whom or what we actually are. It is clear that when we realize with all our being that we are energy in different states of manifestation – largely in a liquid state – our self-experience changes radically. This should not come as a surprise. Around 70 percent of our body is water (the same proportion as the Earth) and 85 percent of our brain and nervous system is also water. Water has very high electrical conductivity, and so it is understandable that energy changes can happen quickly within us, sometimes without our being aware of them at all.
For instance, while you’re reading these words, your body is conducting thousands of physiological actions without making any mistake whatsoever. Your glands and their hormone secretions, your breath, your heartbeat, the circulation of your blood, the digestion of different kinds of food, the cleaning and defense system of the organism all work in unison, silently, without the need of your attention or intention.
Take a moment to consider this:
your thoughts are generating storms of info-energy in your brain and nervous system, all at the same time, producing energy movements in your whole body-mind system.
In my work, I’ve also observed that our energy field is able to change very rapidly, since it’s the result of the dynamic combination of an infinite amount of elements making up our thoughts, feelings and sentiments at any given moment. Our electromagnetic field may change instantly, affecting our mental activity as well as our physiology and emotional responses.
Our state of being is a collective response to thoughts, feelings and emotions at any given instant. This state of being is what determines, at each and every moment, that which we internally feel and also our external behavior. That’s why a change in any of the three component elements (thought, feelings, and emotion) will give rise to many potential combinations and produce diverse kinds of behaviors.
The biosphere. What we resonate attracts our life
To make it easier to understand, we could compare the human energy field with the bubble surrounding us, which we call biosphere or aura. It includes, among other elements, all the beliefs and inner decisions that condition our behavior, as well as information which comes from past generations. All this material continually stimulates sensations and emotions, generating in our biosphere a certain energy field that we call resonance, which is unique for each individual. If we get used to "feeling bad", this resonance will attract new painful experiences similar to those of the original frequency, leading to further negative beliefs and decisions that will attract more pain, and so forth. Thus, though the experiences and persons may seem to be different, we’ll go on vibrating at the same frequency. So, resonances create an imaginary personal picture we call "false self" or "false self-image" that "hangs" before us preventing us from seeing reality "such as it is", like a smokescreen distorting everything. Reality will continue to be altered for us because of the frequency of these resonances.
From a metaphysical point of view, there are universal laws that constantly operate within us generating these patterns. One of these laws is known as the
law of attraction. According to it, there are past beliefs and attitudes determining an electromagnetic resonance in the present that attracts to us "more of the same" and leads us unconsciously to repeat the same mental or emotional patterns. For instance, if I felt rejected when I was a child, there will be an unconscious resonance of self-rejection and I’ll become an artificially amiable person in order to be approved by others and thus avoid the possibility of being rejected again. I’ll then go through life saying "yes" when in fact I want to say "no"; it will be difficult for me to set limits; I’ll often feel used or abused, and will hold resentful feelings toward others as well as toward myself, generating in turn ever more inner rejection. In that way, the resonance increases and is grows in strength indefinitely.
To be able to change the negative resonances, we need to heal ourselves emotionally. In my experience in the alternative healing profession (more than two decades), I came to the conclussion that just affirmations is not enough to change the old patterns.
We need to access the root cause of the pain we are experiencing and heal it. The good news is that is absolutely possible. Then affirmations will work miracles!
