The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Writing with a pen vs. computer typing for goals, affirmations etc.

Here's a question I thought of in bed last night, while I was reading one of my LOA books. There are exercises I still need to complete like creating a dream list, making 101 goals list, and making a list of affirmations.

Whenever I've read about affirmations it says that to make them even more effective, you should write them down 40 times or so, on a piece of paper. Do you think this can be done on the computer? Is there something about writing with a piece of paper and pen that makes it more, I don't know, valuable?

Any thoughts would be appreciated..

I think that writing it is writing it. It's taking the time and effort of actually doing it that matters, and having it in a place where you have access to it.

Like with most things in life its all about the action...

Yes I think that by writing them you feel them...like cards..e-cards don't feel as good as a real greeting card in the mail..

personally - I like seeing things in print that I can spell check and choose the font. I have a terrible handwriting. But I also use a pen, when I am writing a song or poem, and don't have access to a computer or keyboard. I don't think it matters, as long as you are focusing in the direction you want to go in.Both keyboards and pens are effective in implementing various processes. Abraham says to have fun with all of this...you can't get it wrong.

Makes sense, thanks. I guess I like the computer because I am so much faster on it and use it so much (and like you, my handwriting stinks). I think I'll try a little bit of both. I just bought one of those old-school, black and white composition books the other day to make into a "dream journal- or vision book". I also have a vision board on my laptop, as my background.

I use both methods, I love pen and paper for journalling, I like the idea of writing and can often be much more expressive that way, I also use my journal as a bit of a scrapbook to paste in affirmations etc to inspire me. I love the feel of looking back over the pages at a later datexxxx
