The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Okay, there's an ongoing pattern that I wish to erradicate from my life - that of crashing cars, having things scrape into me ( ie a bus!) in the car, cars breaking down etc etc. I have literally been through about about 5 cars in the space of two years! Only one of these was my fault", but according to Louise Hay and other trains of thought there are no accidents, we create these events to self- sabotage or punish ourselves?

I otherwise have a calm, professional life and I have been working hard, doing affirmations, growing etc - but still it seems my subconscious mind is trying to "beat me up!". It's pushed a bus into me, put a nail on a motorway, so i had a tyre blow out at 70mph, sent another truck into the side of me and a few cars just broke down in between.

Today, I scraped the side of my car when turning into work - the drive is at a really awkward angle

How can I "make friends" with my subconscious mind MORE than I am already ( I already journal, meditate, affirm, use intent and gratitude etc.

I've heard that survivors of abuse can sometimes have a "self-sabotour" inside - if so - how to I grow out of this?

Thanks for your post on this because it's very interesting and I'll have a shot at trying to help.

I have a couple of points. Firstly, I'm not sure why you consider your subconcious mind as being a "seperate" entity to you, like it's "another person" is doing this to you? That seperates you from yourself and your control of yourself. You don't need to make friends with yourself. Just love who you are and everything that you're going to become. Secondly, thinking about why your subconcious is doing something to you, makes you put all your attention to it and it keeps recurring.

I would suggest realising that "it" hasn't done anything to you. You haven't done anything to yourself. If you are focusing on these things keep happening to you, then universal circumstances bring more of these things to than you'd like. Also, you may just be noticing the red lights too much. Some people are accident prone. And if you are feeling like that lately, then you may need to affirm that you are now a more careful and alert person. Maybe ask your subsconcious for guidance to help you be more careful. You may need to affirm that you are more alert on the roads, a more careful pedestrian, a better driver, a thoughtful driver so you check the status of your car - its tyres, engine oil, brakes etc more often. You may seek out driving or car maintenance courses or information leaflets etc that help with your queries or improvements you want. Maybe affirm that you are now using your intuition better, so you are alert and awake to detect issues before they occur.

i recommand you book Jane Roberts-SETH'S BOOK(Personal reality,or Nature of your own reality),i dont know exact name in english..but its talking about that.you have all in there! good luck

Thanks Stringz and Stefani - good advice. Yes I need to love and accept ALL parts of me as I am, so that subconscious is not seen as a "separate" entity - ur right Stringz.
You may need to affirm that you are more alert on the roads, a more careful pedestrian, a better driver, a thoughtful driver so you check the status of your car - its tyres, engine oil, brakes etc more often.
- eh yes - but this assumes "I" am the bad driver lol - there's little u can do when a bus just scrapes ito the side of you?! lol But I can see that this is still "me" attracting these events.

Hi Claire,
I tried to post this before, but I don't know what happened to it. Have you tried EFT? It's a method of applying acupressure type techniques and mental concepts to make changes on a subconscious level. I had a pretty good link for a good example, so if I find it again I will post it.

Thanks - yes I have seen a couple of videos about this technique and followed one through, but, I haven't tried it on a regular basis yet

Also, if you go into the the bookstore and see the book "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Dr. Joseph Murphy, D.R.S., Ph.D, D.D., L.L.D., in the self help section, sit down at the cafe and read some of it. Your subconscious mind doesn't do anything unless you "program" it to do it. It's not a higher entity who decides what you should do. If anything the subconscious wants to help and protect you. It all boils down to what you believe and impress upon the subconscious.

I think you understand all that already though from previous posts. I know how you feel because I used to say,"Why are you doing this to me, Universe? Where is my goal?! Why don't you help me? Why do bad things always happen to me?" But then I replaced it with, "Why does the Universe bless me and always provide for me? Why does the Universe help me? Why am I so lucky? Why do good things always happen to me?" Until it became a habit and a true belief.

I had that feeling for years, My first husband dies, I was string out on drugs and I had a nervous break down, could not get off of drugs, children placed in foster care, I was diagnose with Bi-polar disorder, in out of hospitals, than breast cancer, loosing a best friend of a cuzin whom I love dearly, from breast cancer, after that my finance pass aways and hell, I say why not me. What does not kill us strengthen us. I learn that I had thought experience, because I need to learn to be humble, and understand and there is a higher power, and to walk in the faith, I would meditate, but I would sit still nor get quite enough to hear the answer, I say the affirmations, but only to believe they was not good enough for me. Now I was clean, and sober, I am learn that I am a cancer survivor, I always had an relationship with my children. I have counselling sessions, I 'm doing the law of attract. My problem was my inner belief system, I found out that I was angry, I have been t angry, feeling of depression, and what the use? I was easy to be stress out. I was told about how that the abuse as a child, that I created that believe system. So everything I try to touch, crumble and fell. I had to tell someone, or write about the abuse, I had to confront the abuse, I had to allow myself to heal from that abuse. I am healing from the abuse. I have been disassociated from feeling anything but anger. I was only surviving, but I was not living. I was not enjoying life like other people do. I know that little girl was not allow to be creative, the teenager was never allow to express creativity, isolated within. I have found myself passing that belief system off to my off strings, telling them you don't never have to live like me. I know I was giving was my parent only had to give. When I became humble, stop being afraid and trusting in change and my Higher power has for me. I pray and mediate, I get go, and I know that no body can every hurt me, like I can hurt myself. I allow myself to feel, every emotions negative and positive. That abuse had had happen it is not happing now. I deal and I healing. The Law of Attraction is about setting your self free, the old ugly belief system and our old ways of thinking when it talks about collecting data, to know what you want. You have to have some acceptance, on another level we do not have break downs we have break through. It sounds like Dr.Phill, but it is my life experience today feel, deal and heal. Set yourself free.

The subconscious mind responds to the thoughts you give it. It does not intend to do this. All of these accidents are in your current vibration. It's something that you keep activating in your life, talking about it right now is just reinforcing it in your life. You need to start putting new thoughts into your subconscious mind such as I am always in the right place at the right time. I get to and from my destinations safely and quickly. There is a technique in the book Ask and It Is Given which outlines prepaving your day. Plan out your day before you start it. Prepave that safe journey in your car no matter where you are headed. When you are imagining you have to take the unwanted things out of the equation. Do not picture them, do not acknowledge them, do not include them in your affirmations.

Think... when I have to travel any distance I know that the road is always clear ahead of me. I arrive at my destination safely, peacefully, and refreshed. When I am on the road, the lanes seem to open up for me on their own leaving lots of free driving space in front of me. My car is always in top running conditions, and I keep it regularly maintained. These are the kinds of things you have to put into your subconscious mind.
