Season 1? What is the best way to connect with friends here for newbies?

I am interested to connect with Season 1 as friends here. Any tips from veteran 100 Day Challengers, welcome!? :-)
Is it better to join groups of like interests / passions or another approach to introduce myself and support others and support back.

Getting acquainted with new friends around here is pretty easy --a matter of reading people's posts and watching some of the videos. You can post comments and be pro-active by inviting anyone you choose to be your friend.
Joining groups of cocreators with like interests is a good way to get to know people better.

Just start looking at peoples profiles, ect.

I would say join a group...BUT most that I have seen aren't that active! Which is a bummer, I like to have a lot of feed back so its kind of a problem for me.

I would say to just reach out. If you like somebody's page, posts, videos, just send a friend request. Everybody is doing the challenge their own way, so you're free to connect with like minded individuals. Also check out the groups.
