LOA Exercises for Visually Imapaired or Blind Co-creators?

Hi Co-creators!
In my day job, I work with many people who have different disabilities. The most common one my work addresses is visual impairment and blindness.
So if you don't see so well, or not at all, what kind of exercises might one do, besides reciting different affirmations, that would replace things such as the vision board ,etc.?
Thanks!
Devorah

Hi Devorah, I used this one a lot and I am not impaired....but I think it would work well with visual impairment and blindness.
Pick WORDS that can trigger a vision. Something that you might hear from others frequently. Associate it with an affirmation or vision on your list. EXAMPLE: In my case, everytime someone used the word "GOING" I visualize my new car. Everytime I hear that word it reminds me and redirects my attention to it.
It has also hightened my AWARENESS as well. I was so surprised at how many times in a day I heard that word GOING.
Let me know if it works for you in your work...Peace JILLY

Hi Jilly,
When you say something about words triggering a vision, I'm guessing that you don't mean what someone sees but an idea someone has. Theoretically, it could work. Anyone can make an association, whether it's from food you taste, the smell of rain or words people say.
Thanks!
Devorah

HMMM...? Im not sure you understand what I ment. See, I got the idea from my son who has Synesthesia. He sees numbers as colors. Many who have this dont know that they are different or that others dont experience the same. For instance he had trouble in math and I attribute it to synesthesia. He discovered it on his own while discussing numbers and colors with others as an adult, then researched it. Then asked me what color 5 was to me. Heck I didnt know what he was talking about. We then learned of synesthesia. So growing up, one that has this, would learn that red minus red equals red or red minus blue equals green. SO YES, the mind can do all sorts of things. Learn something new every day huh?

My point was if you've never seen anything at all, you are unlikely to have visual references at all, so "visions" as we discussing them, would not be possible visually. So they can have surreal experiences or ideas or references, they just perceive them with their own group of senses.

You're saying if you have never seen a color, you might have a metaphor for them. Like Blue=Sadness Green=Envy Red=anger. or blue=cold, red=hot, green=temperate.

This makes sense. I suspect I'm going to need to ask my clients and teachers of LOA to get a better idea of any more common experiences among visually impaired members of the audience.

All good! Thank you for your input on this!

That sounds a lot like what I'm dealing with too Gerrit. Thanks for sharing and giving me strength to change my environment instead of waiting for it to change for me.
