How is is possible to stay positive when experiencing a real crisis

I've been unemployed for 10 months, no money, living somewhere I don't want to be. I've had no live during this time as I'm away from my friends. I do work out every day at the gym to increase my positive feelings. Am really trying with this LOA process, but at times I feel such despair and it seems unrealistic just to 'wish' a dream job. I've been doing lots of studying but still get really down when I check my search engines every day and no opps still!
I apply for ones that are way lower pay than i was on previously, and don't excite me. I got to 2nd interview recently on my dream job, but got knocked out cos didn't have the relavant experience and lots of candidates that did. The LOA tells me I should just visualize and let go...but that seems so irresponsible! Any advice would be most welcome!-o;)

Hi there, The law of attraction says to make room for what it is that you want. It seems to me that you are not doing that. If you want the dream job you need to have experience to aquire it. To take the lesser job only to get the experience may be the right step for you. However you must go and take that lesser job as a stepping stone with excitement, with enthusiasm, with a happy heart and with a vision of the dream coming your way in the dream job. You have wasted 10 months my friend, you could have had nearly 10 months of experience as a stepping stone to get there. Don't just wish, take action, go with the flow...the Universe/God is in action. You took action when posting this. Yes the Law does tell you to visualize and let go. What it means is let go of the wanting...start experiencing the HAVING. I say all of this with a happy heart and cant wait to hear when you get your dream job and share what your dream job looks like. Sometimes writing down what your dream job is, helps to experience. I use a Vision Board to help me and remind me of what my dream is. Sometime after writing it down and reading it...you realize you were wrong in your wanting. Try it. Peace my friend, JILLY

I understand how you feel. Have you heard of Abraham-Hicks? Search on You-Tube and try listening to some of the teaching. When I was feeling like you someone suggested it to me and I have been on an upward climb evr since. In the meantime try not to focus your attention on what you dont have and focus on what you want. Become a dreamer, hink only about where you want to be and do not dwell in how bad you eel that you dont have what you dont have.

Hope this helps ... but def. Check out Abraham-Hicks :-)

Neev - I am also facing an onslaught of challenging circumstances. The kind that make you sit back and say, really? seriously universe? i'm doing what has been suggested below, which is taking a lower paying job to stay in my field and hopefully gain a foothold into an organization I like and would be happy to work for as a permanent employee. It brings its own set of challenges, BUT it feels like i'm at least moving instead of being sucked into quicksand.

i'm facing foreclosure, losing family members, trying to build things only to see them pulled down by others. Looking at circumstances like this can be crushing. I think its almost harder to face the small, incremental day by day discouragment. Like, shouldn't i have found a job by now?

If i may respectfully disagree with one of the posters below, don't say to yourself "oh, i wasted 10 months". Start from HERE. NOW. all the info you've collected over the last year is useful to move forward. take a few minutes to brainstorm all the different things you CAN do, you WANT to do, you never dreamed of doing but maybe you'd like. There are an infinite number of possibilities. Don't give up on yourself! don't focus on number of months unemployed. Focus on NEW opportunties.Best wishes!!!

What a fantastic relpy Alyssa. Thank you. Yes, I'm working on this process. I'm positive more often now than I was before, and delighted to have discovered this site. I agree - I certainly do not take the attitude that I have wasted 10 months. I am broadening out my search now, and have realised I need to look for something/anything, even if it is lower pay (some 50% more), because I need to make progress. I hope things get better for you too. I so agree with your thoughts.

Very nice, Alyssa. Hey Neev, yeah it is tough to stay positive during situations like yours. It's a great idea to work out to keep spirits up as well.
Maybe looking at LOA processes in different ways can help you use it more effectively. Unfortunately, a lot of LOA literature can cause more doubt because it communicates things in an unrealistic fashion...or what SEEMS to be unrealistic. And here I go again, about to anger somebody with my views, but any of techniques are used ONLY to make an impression on your subconscious mind. By doing that, say visualizing what you want, along with daily action, you get closer. You don't have to believe that the universe is all magic to make this work. Some people believe that and it works for them, others may be more pragmatic and trying to force what most LOA is trying to convey will create conflict. You won't believe it 100% and that will get in your way.

If you were to just start by giving suggestions to your subconscious mind, through mental imagery (very importation to TRY to make it feel real, but don't worry if it's not perfect...it will work anyway) Eventually your subconscious mind will start to give you ideas as well as noticing something that will help you that you may not have noticed before. You don't have to believe in metaphysics to use this stuff.

In my opinion and experiences, there definitely is evidence of something spiritual going on but I'm not interested in forcing beliefs. Have you ever known exactly what time it was before looking at a clock? did an angel whisper it in your ear? Nope! It was your subconscious mind taking care of stuff and keeping track without you even knowing it. You can train it to tell you all sorts of things. I hope this helps and I wish you luck.

Thank you Raymond. I certainly am trying my best. I started giving my subconscious mind positive suggestions on Oct 10 (my b'day) but so far it hasn't come up with any bright ideas! I have felt so stuck for so long now, I find it hard to deal with, as I've always believed that situations will turn around...I guess some take longer than others! I also realise that I'm sending my subconscious double messages, as I continue to slip into negative thinking. I am getting better though. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

You're very welcome and happy belated birthday. I find it hard to believe that a Libra would be lacking ideas! You all are brilliant with both intellect and creativity (and great with puns for some reason. I don't know you're situations but some Libras have a hard time with decision making that they will find themselves stuck.

One thing I've done for myself to combat slipping into negative thinking, and VERY effectively is to visualize a positive image every hour for 3 minutes or less. Of course, as it's always stated in the land of LOA (I'm growing to hate that term), imagine it as if it were true now...in the mind. Doing this every hour seems like a bit much (I actually set an alarm) but it seems to be a definite cure for depression (I'm a Pisces, I know ALL about depression)

Well, take care Neev. Things will click for you.

I saw your post this morning. My heart goes out to you knowing that I am also in a similiar experience. I recently lost what was suppose to be my dream job and am now waiting for substitute teaching positions to come through. The phone is not ringing as of yet...Scary thoughts go through my mind as what could happen if some money doesn't start to flow this way...but I try very hard to remember to look and appreciate the small miracles in everyday, like a smile from someone, sunshine, my family and friends. I try to keep moving. That is a big one. Get out making contacts both to lead to the job you want but also just human contact to keep you in reality and not allow yourself to float off into your own isolated space of scary problems. I work every day to appreciate what I have now and know that this trial is making me stronger. Even as I write this I am trying to encourage you as well as myself, but I do have faith that this will pass. God has a bright future in store. Remember that fear destroys opportunity. Don't give in to the fear. Keep moving...:)

I like your honesty. It's true many guys out there are looking for women to make them feel like a man rather than to share a life with. But mainly when it comes to dating it is best to spend that a lone time with yourself before you enter anything.…
