The 100 Day Reality Challenge

An idea to not be overwhelmed and to pace yourself

I was just asked about how our strong desires could connect our whole life and change things we may not want changed. I had to think a lot about this and I thought that the reply I gave them would serve us well in a discussion so here it goes.

When we learn about this magical Law that can give us everything that we desire we go into overdrive thinking about all of the things that we want. Just think for a second about getting everything you could ever desire. Deep down you would be the same person but would you really be the same person on the physical level? While most of humans desires are material the answer to that question is a resounding no. Now think about what difference there would be between you now and the person with all their desires fulfilled. (Which is impossible since the more we bring into our existence, the more we learn and consequently the more desires we have.)

Now that you can tell the difference between the person you are now and the person you will be once you have all the desires you can think of (now) imagine the shift in your world that would have to take place in order for that transition to happen. I don't think that the word catastrophic would be out of place when describing that transition. If you wished that your job, your significant other, your family, your friends, your car, your house, you cats, dogs, etc, etc were different in some way and your feelings about this new way were so strong, and you were told over and over again by all these books and movies that to manifest your dreams you must feel that they are already come true how could you possibly keep all of these things? The Universe would be forced to tear your life apart in order to give you what you desire as quickly as possible (due to your intense feelings and thoughts).

So when you lose your car, your house, your significant other and your job it's easy to think that this stuff doesn't work because you aren't feeling happy about what you are losing when in reality you weren't ready to "lose" them in the first place. If you just held on a little bit longer you would see that you were getting your desires in an extreme way but all this loss makes us sad and unhappy so our vibration falls, our stuff is gone and our desires stop coming. No wonder why so many people stop manifesting because they get these results and feel like it doesn't work when in reality they were so close that if they kept their mind open and stopped judging their "losses" they would see that they were on the verge of greatness.

Unless we have studied to be Zen masters and our attachment to our "things" has been broken something must be done. There has got to be a way for us to use the Law of Attraction and still maintain our life without it "falling apart." My thought is that we just scale our desires down a bit. If we wanted to become a body builder we wouldn't go to the gym and instantly lift the heaviest weights. We would start with the weights that make us uncomfortable enough so that it's not easy but they show results. Stepping out of our comfort zone is the best way for us to expand our reality. So we should take it a step at a time and not be mad that all our desires haven't come to pass. Work on one desire first. Learn to deal with the changes that your life has to take and realize the uncomfortableness that changing your life can be. There is no way that your desires are going to leave you uncomfortable but to get to the place that you need to be as a person where your dreams reside you need to shed some skin. Think of the uncomfortableness as your body letting go of feelings that we don't need anymore.

If we learn how to incorporate what we have now with our desires we can find a way to make our dreams come true without sacrificing all that we have now. We'll also learn more about what we have now that we don't actually want and what we want to change.

I hope that this helps those struggling with bad feelings about situations that may not be desirable.

HI Chris,

That some great piece of advice, thanks for sharing it with us. We just need to slow down a little and be grateful for what we do have and in doing so the universe responds to our vibration and sends us more and more to be grateful for!

Most definitely. This also exercises our manifesting muscle and allows us to handle more and more changes. In the state of pure joy and love our energy is vibrating so rapidly that nothing can stay the same. This is one reason we need to practice acceptance and non-judgement so that all the randomness and chaos (the good kind) that comes from love and joy is allowed to be in our space and we aren't deflecting their energy.

Hi Chris, what you say is very interesting and it really resonates with my own experiences.

Some years ago I saw the tremendous power the LOA had and started attracting whatever I wanted; sometimes quickly and accompanied by sudden changes in my life, changes that I wasn't always ready for and which were quite shocking at times. Other times I attracted things which I was obviously ready to have/allow which made a more gentle appearance in my life. I was so overwhelmned by this power that (until recently) I stopped desiring things except those that I needed for survival, fear took over and it's as though the pendulum swung to the other side. Neither extreme worked for me of course but now I'm grateful to say that I'm beginning to see that there's a middle way which involves slowing down the process of manifestation, pacing myself, and my desires.

Thank you for the reminder to take it one desire at a time!

Lynne

It's great that you have been at both sides and are able to know what the middle of the road is. It's great that the LoA even when your desires are that it doesn't work as quickly. :-)
