The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Ok folks. This may sound like a strange topic but I am addressing it with all honesty and seriousness.

I have had a pretty strong relationship with alcohol from a very early age and am almost 33 now. I've attempted sobriety numerous times but never stuck with it. At this rate, I am drinking heavily about once or twice a week (could be worse).

My problem or question is this: do you find that drinking completely alters the way you attract things into your life? It seems it takes me a few days to get back to normal after a day of binge drinking. I lose my motivation, my insight, my intuition. The things I want seem so much further in the background and I barely recognize myself.

Why does this happen? Is this normal? Is this the Universe trying to tell me something?
I can't achieve any of my goals this way.
What can I do to make things better?

So lost....

hi i think you gave yourself the answer: you need to try to quit drinking alcohol, because alcohol not helps you achieving your goals, and be very very focused on what you want when you don't drink. You deserve to live the best life you can, so why lose time in something that cut you off from what you really want to achieve?

sorry i'm italian i hope i wrote it well, many hugs from here!!

Yes... I agree with Dancer.. you just said the answer... I am wondering if you have had CD Treatment? Its almost impossible to quit on your own... Sounds like you have tried that... Alcohol will not only kill your motivation, insight and intuition ..it will also block you out... Sound like you really want to quit but dont know how? My other thought is AA, have you tried this.. AA works for millions and millions of people...
Until you stop drinking any progress with LOA will be undermined every time you drink.
I wish you the best and support your journey...

thank you both for responding to this.
Createfate- Not sure what you mean by "CD" treatment. I've been in treatment three times over the last 5 years. It's up to me to get sober, I'm just not ready.

I admire your honesty and reaching out to others, Pauline!! There are more people with addictions, in many ways.. who are asking themselves the same questions..

Watching this Oprah episode.. I was in tears... It seems like it doesn't matter what addiction you're struggling with, the emotions of guilt and shame (dealing with the moral judgments) are the same (especially after falling back)

The biggest lesson I've learned from the LOA is the importance of taking 100 % responsibility for your life Not 40 or 60 or 90%, no 100!! It's up to you to take charge~*
I believe it will help you to heal old wounds, bring new magical experiences in your life and makes you stronger It did for me!!

Say to yourself you can do it.. and keep moving forward- reaching out for help

Much love and positive vibes Mascha

I love to drink some alcohol, but only beer. 2 or 3 bottles is my quantum and it makes me feel really good. The key is, not to drink excessive.

A scientist study occupied, that drinking ONE bottle of beer a day (max 1 Liter) is very healthy. Also just ONE cigarette a day. Take a look at our medicine. 90% got alcohol. And most people don't know, that Coffein is a strong neurotoxin. If you would drink to much ( over 100 cups a day), you gonna die. You can google for it, if you don't believe.

So I'm drinking only a lot of coffee and I'm the good guy - I'm drinking some alcohol, oh, I'm the bad guy.

When I was younger, 30 years old, I have drunk a lot of liqueurs, Jim Beam/Coke and Wodka/Tonic and stuff like that. It was like you said, it sucked all my energy off and it got worse every day. At night in bed, I felt my heart beating very hard and strong and that was the reason stop drinking liqueurs.

If you can't stop drinking alcohol at all, try to drink some beer like me. I'm not drinking every day, just 2 or 3 times a week. Some beer, good music and talking to all the good people here on CCOR makes me feel really god. And this shifts my energy.

Btw. my father was a well-known painter over here in my hometown and he made his best pictures, when he was tipsy (not drunk).

Regards and bleesings

YOU KNOW HOW SOMETIMES PEOPLE SUFFERING CAN BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS WHO ALSO SUFFER IN SILENCE WITH NOT A SOLUTION IN SIGHT....? I HAVE NO ANSWERS, DEAR. I`M GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS MYSELF (TONITE! AFTER 5 YEARS OF BEING STRAIGHT...). I LISTEN TO LILOU MACE`S EMPOWERING MESSAGES AND TRY MY BEST TO PUT MYSELF IN A PEACEFUL STATE OF MIND. AS YOU KNOW... POOP... SO I DECIDED TO EMBARK ON THIS UPLIFTING JOURNEY TO INCREASE MY INNER GLOW INSTEAD OF TUMBLING INTO THE PIT . I NEED HELP FELLOW CREATORS TO GIVE MY LIFE A PURPOSEFUL TURN. THANX! LOVE TO ALLXXX ROSIE

Perhaps a good start would be reviewing some AA materials and possibly attending a meeting.

My friend, I am a bartender and have been for 30 years...I always get the "shift drink" I wanted to stop so I started doing to Law of Attraction by saying "I could drink but I choose not to"

what I realised was drinking is a habit..when we get with friends that is what we do...

I noticed that I did not have a passion for anything...something to take the place of "well I will just have a drink" Now I am with a great company Sendoutcards and I spend my time sending greeting cards in the mail (from my computer) to people to help their day better...my mind is on that and not drinking. the bigest thing was breaking the habit..you have a great support team here with great advice..start beliving that you can! and the rest will fall into place..you new friend,Ricky

STOP DRINKING...it's simple. Abraham talks about 12 step programs and she certainly doesn't discount them. In fact she urged one lady to go, on a seminar cd, I heard a while back.

I had my last drink back in 87...I really think if I drank now, I would be dead in a few weeks. I'm 56...do the math. STOP..you can't drink...

When I was in denial, at my first AA meeting I said, Hi my name is Robin and I want to know why I can't drink like other people?
With the help of people who had more time than me, i found ouht how to stop drinking. My life was a train wreck. Lost the boyfriend, quit the job, lived at home with Mom...I had what they call a High bottom,...didn't end up dead or in jail or on the flight deck, but I know plenty of people who did.

know why.?..cause I'm an alcholic. LOA should eventually make it easier for you to stop, if you you choose to.

I have totally different feelings about other substances...namely pot. It should be legal. Just my humble Opinion.
Be well.
