How about that approaching 2012, eh? I don't think it's the end of the world, of course, but I do know that there are some tough times ahead. Of course I run the risk of being labeled negative in my outlook but my aim is to provide what I believe to be truth based on my intuition and reason. And in reality, some things aren't so pretty.

Now, those of us who are mindful and are taking on the subtle-yet-potent method of creating change cannot help but notice a quickening in creation through thought. It's no surprise to see this phenomenon coincide with the approach of 2012. We can only expect this to increase in potency and quickness as we go. Mental image + emotion + belief = physical result. This is law and it’s not reserved to the people who are using it consciously and for constructive use.

For example, consider how many BELIEVE with EMOTION the IMAGES found in Revelations of the New Testament. There are millions and millions of people with this singular idea. ALL that energy pumped into that one image. We can’t believe that their focus won’t produce results reflecting their expectation. If we are to believe in these principles (and how can we not after we see them work over and over??), we have to realize that everyone is contributing.

I’m not glooming and dooming over here, just pointing out that we’re in for quite a ride and it’s absolutely vital that we continue with this work.

Interesting ....all this talk of 2012... I dont know if I agree with you... I think its also safe to say that because of a shift in consciousness that is occurring now and has been (in the recent past) that that positive energy will also manifest into form....It certainly makes for interesting conversation and speculation....I hope more do comment...

I did mention that everyone is contributing, meaning both positive and negative. My curiosity lies in what types of manifestations will occur when you have such conflicting sides. What will the world be like when one group of people, and a rather large group at that, with standards rooted in dogmatic, religious fervor are creating according to their beliefs versus those who are trying to mold things according what is common in law-of-attraction circles?

Whether or not 2012 has anything to do with global/consciousness shifts or not, I have no idea. There are a lot of arguments for and against. Personally, I...well I can't say anything about it because I don't know enough. The History Channel did a good job at pointing out a few apparently unrelated sources that came up with the same 2012 stuff...SUPPOSEDLY. I lost faith in the Histroy Channel when they had the show on exorcisms or evil. It was absurd and proved to me that it's unreliable.

Yes... it is difficult to know what source to rely on ... I dont know much about it either except what I have read and there are so many conflicting ideas... I was thinking about all the other fatal predictions and how they never amounted to much... and also that positive thoughts are more powerful. Also I think alot of stuff has BEEN happening and does have a feeling that we are coming to some type of climax.

There are many people who believe that our thoughts create things or our lives. Yet these same people do not feel that there is going to be anything cataclysmic happening from now until 2012. There are changes going on and Gregg Braden's book Fractal Time talks all about it pertaining to 2012.

Remember, there were millions and millions of people who thought Y2K was going to be a disaster and they bought survival kits for it and nothing happened. Those same people who hold so strongly to revelations also hold on to fire and brimstone and a red horned creature living in the center of hell and a benevolent old man living up in the clouds with his golden sunbeams and white robes with winged servants who dress the same.The believe that Jonah really did live inside of a Whale, etc... No evidence of their existence. Fundamental Christians play a small part of what the rest of the world religions believe. I don't know, just my opinion

Excellent points. Not that I support the cataclysmic predictions and interpretations of the 2012 subject, but there is a bit of a difference between that and the Y2K. Mainly that the former allegedly is dealing with cosmic events and cycles and the latter is some shortsighted computer setup. I will have to check out Braden's book if time permits.

I only offered the fundamental Christians view as an example; to emphasize the conflict and what it can bring if there's any validity to thought-creates-reality concepts. I am aware that there are a great number of doctrines, sects and the sort, but one can't deny that fundamental Christians get the most press. God bless 'em!

While there is no evidence of the "physical" reality of mythological imagery in Revelations, the symbolism is important. Subconsciousness responds extremely potently to symbols and will deliver things, not just one thing, but many related to the "seed thought". This isn't suggesting that a 7-horned dragon will emerge from the depths or that Chthulu will be summoned to bring about the Great Old Ones, but the physical representation of these archtypes can certainly surface.

Seeing the definition of Apocalypse has reminded me of something "revealed" to me regarding 9/11 and some Qabalistic/tarot/Thelemic stuff. Perhaps I'll post it in another discussion.

Just using Y2K as an example of everyone being a chicken little and there being no significant happening on that fated day. I know that they are completely different. People still thought that society was going to come to a stand still because the machines wouldn't know what to do.

Yeah, I remember not believing that Y2K would amount to anything during all the hype. Then at a New Year's Eve party, someone in the basement cut the power exactly at midnight. And it got REALLY silent. I must admit, I got a little creeped. It was a good prank in my book.

In Gregg Braden's live presentation that I have seen, he was saying that there would be a lot of tv interviews that are in the works which would be shown around November and December in time for the movie 2012 which would strike a lot of queries. (History Channel is one of them).

Dr. Ervin Lazslo said that the leaders of the world are helping in doing something about this nature's treat. There is a summit in Germany.

According to James Ray, it only takes around 8,000 people out of the billions of people living in the world that needs to shift consciousness. I hope you would all be a part of this number.
