The 100 Day Reality Challenge

I'm am trying really hard to stay positive and use the Law of Attraction, and for the most part I am. I am getting some manifestations of money, but I know that I'm still working at getting it right. Things take time to learn and start working. My problem is, in the meantime, my boyfriend, who is extremely supportive of everything I do, is having a hard time being positive. Our money situation is like a lot of people's, we're living paycheck to paycheck. The few manifestations are quickly gobbled up by past due bills and neccessities. We're trying to get a business started, and many other small projects to bring in money, but it's not going very quickly.

My question is, how do I stay positive, when the one I love so dearly is upset and worried? I know things will work out, I know this! But I hate seeing him so sad at times. He's skeptical of the Law of Attraction, though he keeps it mostly to him self. Encourages me to explore my beliefs and passions, but it's not really helping him. How have any of you dealt with this?

At the workshop in London 2 weeks ago, Abraham made the point that a teacher can only reach those students who are in vibrational proximity and that it's not the teachers job ever to lower their vibration to get closer to their students. I think the same is true of parents.

Of course it's annoying as hell for your son to have you being "Pollyanna" while he's feeling negative! lol But he's not really angry at you; he's noticing his own disconnection from Source, and the fact that he's AWARE of that means you have taught something that will serve him so well in the future.

You can't "fix" him - nor does he need to be fixed. What you can do is demonstrate how you manage your own feelings, in the face of contrast. You don't have to tell him that in this case, the contrast is him! :D If you're tempted to bring yourself down to make him feel better, you are teaching him that he has to control conditions in order to feel good rather than teaching him to be in control of his experience.

Love and worry are completely different vibrations; you can't love someone and worry about them at the same time. So yes, it's hard when those we love aren't as happy as we would wish them to be but the work is to find that better feeling thought and teach by example.

I find it helps to find my place on the emotional guidance scale for that topic, without judging myself for being wherever I am, and then working my way up the scale step by step. I like to write my feelings out at each step and then anticipate the next one. All the time you're doing this, you're showing him how you manage your vibration and giving him tools to work with when he's ready.

Thank-you very much Isobel. I'm pretty new to Abraham and I'm off to get the book. I googled the emotional quidance scale and feel that these will be very good tools for my boy to take back his power etc AND for me to keep mine while parenting. Gratitude in a big way to you!!!
