The Third Jesus by Deepak Chopra
I picked this one up at Barnes & Noble on Monday. Thank You Deepak! I just love you! It takes someone from outside of Christianity to spell it out so plainly and beautifully what Christ meant in 15 easy steps to follow His lead.
Step 1) The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. Applying the teaching-the source of reality is inside you. It is your essense.
Step 2) Be in the world but not of it. Applying the teaching-Through detachment, you master both inner and outer reality.
Step 3) For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Applying the teaching - Life becomes effortless as you move closer to God-consciousness.
As I read the book, I'll post some of my thoughts experiences, etc. here in this discussion. I invite anyone to join in the reading of the book and the discussion.

What you have posted so far is beautiful.
I love Deepak Chopra and his books were the first that ever exposed me to the Laws of the Universe. He has an amazing gift for explaining the most complicated and debated over concepts in a way that is easy to understand. He is just brilliant.
I know I will have to read this one soon but in the meantime I will follow your posts about it. Thanks.

'To be in this world but not of it' is an old saying from the Muslim mystical Sufis tradition. I have not read the book you mentioned but I thought you might be interested in this link. I will have a look at your book the next time I am at the bookstore. I have got a pile of books I am trying to get through though :)

Interestingly enough, there was a guy from the many centuries ago in Germany called Meister Eckhart who wrote that we all have the ability to achieve the same things as Jesus. Unfortunately he was considered a heretic and dissappeared, he was being pursued by the Inquisition.
Have you read the short novel Illusions by Richard Bach?
