The 100 Day Reality Challenge

I love blueberries, especially before working out. I was eating some carbs after work so i have the energy to work out after. I am realizing that this does not support me at all. I does not feel right when i am exercising. Blueberries makes me feel good and therefor i am full of energy and ready to workout. So this is my item #1 on my list for now and look forward exploring more!

I have gone off sugar and sugared foods over the years and i barely touch them now.. going cold turkey is hard, but if i fancied a chocolate bar i would have a health bar with a little chocolate on it instead.. in the UK we have Alpen bars which are good for encouraging a less sweet tooth as they are full of nuts...

just cutting down the amount and going for healthier options will make a difference and gradually you will prefer the taste of the less sweet stuff and will find sweet things too sickly...

I've been off sugar for over 6 months. I think I have been successful because I read the labels and avoid all sugar. Corn syrup is in lots of stuff! I don't eat refined carbs either. They instantly turn to sugar in your system.

I'm glad you reminded me that the intense craving passes! That's true. And I love the strategy of eating snacks before I'm craving. That's darn brilliant. Thanks!

I love the smell of oranges, but my body doesn't like the acidity, they give me awful heartburn and acid, which is a real shame... i use orange and mandarin essential oils and love the smell but it always makes me crave them even more.. lol

My feel good foods when i am tired are, let's be honest here folks, generally CARBS.
They may be in the form of french fries, or sweet rolls from the oven, cookies or even cake...but feel good?
When I am down, the feel good food is pudding, cakes and deep-fat fried stuff..but when I am happy, just a fresh peach, a juicy pineapple or a slice of watermelon is enough to satisfy me!

This really resonates for me, Amalia. What's really interesting is your comment about what satisfies you when you're happy—healthier food. I'm exactly the same way. And for me, that means the food is directly tied to my emotions, not to logic or hunger. So the way out of unhealthy eating is going to be emotional. Oy vey...

You are right. Another thing I've discovered that puts me into CARB CRAVING MODE is fatigue. It's better to work at getting proper rest and relaxation. Stress kicks the CCM in high gear too, and then it's, "Look out nachos, here I come!"

I've found nut (pistacho mostly) and dried fruit (cranberries dried in orange juice) make me feel comforted like CHIPS an d French Fries! I do have to eat them in the same sitting but I do feel good eating them.

Great idea, Tamika. I can see how the crunch of the nuts and the sweetness of the fruit would satisfy the same "flavor-receptors" in my brain! Um, well, eventually they would... I have to get off the sweet stuff and move over to the healthy stuff. This gives me an idea of how to do that! Thanks!

Quickie check in…..
First let me say I have be so engulfed by my positive manifestations that I have had no time to write, vlog or watch videos on ning.com or youtube.com.

I am do a multiple hit and run here.

10%
I have released 4 lbs since March 5 or 6 (that’s when I got serious about the club)
Here are a few helpers
http://www.traderjoes.com/Attachments/NoGluten.pdf
http://caloriecount.about.com/

I am eating 7 meals at about 1500 cals a day until I start my workouts. That cal will go up just a lttle. The Caloriecount.about.com website is free and has a lot of resources; one is to tell you how many cals to eat when.
I took the past two weeks to get use to eating; I seriously was not eating at all. In “The New Earth” there is a statement of “if they would just listen to the inside the outside would reflect it” (I have the audio book so that may not be word for word). I have been listening, I’ve gotten my eating times down and I am pretty good to go with them now because my body tells me when. I start morning workouts on the 24th.

Eat Feel Good Food
Also I found eating a more gluten free diet helps as well. I feel a lot less sluggish.
CAN YOU SAY “I LOVE NUTS” (Pepitas, Cashews and Pistachios)
!!!! And dried berries, they make me feel really good.

100 dayers
I am on my 50th day and I am feeling great.
Working on three main things the next two weeks…..
1. Watch Andie’s “IlluminatedJourney” video as soon as she posts them
2. Start Spring cleanse for my body
a. New version I will be fasting but not without food
b. Using Dherbs full body detox
3. Clean HOUSE
a. Reading Inner Simplicity (100 Ways to Regain Peace and Nourish Your Soul) by ST. James Elaine
b. DECLUTTER

I will post a video this weekend, you have my word!!!

PS… Tune in Thursday at 7pm to www.blogtakradio.com/nlitenedsoulzradio
